When perming and dying your hair, which one do you do first?

I've always done my own permanents and hair dying, as had experience years ago. I know one comes before the other, but has been so long since I've had either, especially the dying as I rarely did that, was letting my hair get healthy again, mostly from perms, can't remember which one comes first. Know you either have to dye and then perm, or perm and then dye. Don't need the recommendation to go to a stylist, as I was one and I trust myself more, and have always had better results. The grays starting to come in and all the sudden I don't hold curl anymore, so it's time for a change.

I permed first and then dyed 2 weeks later. That's bc otherwise the perm will bleed out all the color. I had mine done professionally.

Perm first then color. The perm lightens the hair, so it's best to do the color after the perm has already lightened.
