I have a question, I want to change my hair into a different color.

I have healthy hair, but I don't want to ruin it.

If I bleach my hair would it get ruined? Would the texture change?

YES. YOUR HAIR WOULD BE RUINED.

I promise: it wouldn't be same for a while.

Not only is it bad for your hair, it's bad for the rest of you, too.

Plus, ROOTS, people! When they show, you're gonna have to be touching them up...and touching them up...and it will be a NEVERENDING CYCLE!

Like I said to others: maybe you should try temporary color, see if you like it, first.

If you have dark hair, blonde is going to look fake on you. Try highlights or caramel and reddish streaks. Nothing too over the top.

Texture changes can happen with dying or bleaching, since you are changing the hair follicle.

If you already have a great color, don't mess with nature. If you have mousy hair (I did too) then try going a bit darker with lowlights and highlights with caramel shades.

Yes! Bleaching your hair completely strips it of its natural color and dries the heck out of it. Your hair might break. I suggest you check with a local salon to get the 411 before you do something so drastic. It's a big committment. And what if it doesn't come out right? You've got another problem.

Okay read CLOSELY ..........................the safest bet is to use a dye that has no lye and low volume(ask the people at a hair saloon) but if you do plan to bleach dont leave in to long but personally i would not bleach your hair if it is healthy.

I think if you bleach it once you should be able to get it healthy again if you treat it properly but if you keep diong it your hair will be ruined. My friend bleached her hair so much and while another person was washing her hair in the sink all this hair fell out. Yeah so I wouldn't recomend it try dying it . Use the 10 washes and its out dye first so you will know if you like the color. If you bleah it you don't know what color it will turn out though. If you have black hair don't turn your hair red unless it is professionaly done because it will turn purple.

Go to a professional. I would get recommendation from other people about the beauty salon. Don't try to do it yourself. I know by experience

if you would bleach your hair allover it would definitely ruin it. most likely it would turn out a weird off color. but if you would get hi-lights with bleach that would be OK. just make sure you go to a salon or have someone who knows what their doing do it for you. bleach almost always changes the texture of hair because it strips it of everything natural.but with deep conditioning treatments and following the advise of a professional stylist should keep your hair in fairly good condition

I have very dark brown hair with natural red high lights with no split ends, (very pretty, everyone loves it) and I bleach my hair with high-lights and it comes out a very pretty blonde. Bleaching your hair, you can chose different colors, chose the one you think would look best and could live with. Good Luck!
