I have straight hair when i was young but my hair turns wavy when i'm a teen.?

I have straight hair when i was in Primary school .My hair started to turn wavy when i entered Secondary school. How do i make it naturally straight and make it as healthy as before ? I have wavy and freezy hair currently . And my hair falls badly too . Using Pregaine shampoo at the moment . What should i do to get a healthy and straight hair as before ?

I have straight hair when i was young but my hair turns wavy when i'm a teen.?

If your hair is wavy and you want it straight you have to flat iron it! That's just the way it is. It's very time consuming and it is damaging to your hair over time. My suggestion would be to love your wave. Get yourself a good mousse. Apply a generous amount of mousse to wet hair and let it air dry. If you don't like to crunchy feeling of mousse try any Frizz-Ease products. Tresemme has some really great products and they are inexpensive. Don't be afraid of your curls. The same thing happened to me. Now I love my hair, I have GREAT wavy hair. I get more compliments on my hair now than I ever did when it was straight. In fact, I got voted "Best Hair" when I was in High School.

You can only blame the genes!!!

Besides eating all the right foods, proteins, veg, fruits, fats what helps hair grow quicker and hea

I appreciate any tips on what helped YOU grow hair faster and healthier. Well not really faster because I know hair grows about half and inch a month anywa. Thanks everyone who reswponds!

Besides eating all the right foods, proteins, veg, fruits, fats what helps hair grow quicker and healthier.?

Taking vitamins and eating extra keratin will help the hair be healthier. Some say trimming it on a full moon will help make it grow. It did for me.

Besides eating all the right foods, proteins, veg, fruits, fats what helps hair grow quicker and healthier.?

There is a vitamin called Hair, Skin, and Nails that you can get at your local Walgreens, or just an ordinary drugstore. It's priced around $18.

It helps your hair grow in much healthier and faster, and from my experience works very well.

So i was going to get prenatial vitimans to make my hair grow healthier etc...but..can anyone answer

these prenatal vitimans are said to have more then just taking 1 vitiman. but would talking it everyday be too much? your only supposed to get so much of a vitiman a day and above that can cause problems or make you sick. so i guess my question is...do prenatal vitimans have the right doseage of vitimans? not too many but just enough?

what vitimans do they have and how much of that vitiman. if im gonna take them for my hair i just dont want to overdo it. it can be too much of a good thing. look up taking vitimans with high levels if you dont believe me im sure you'll find something..

i found this off the website http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0...

"The dangers of overdosing

However, as with any nutrient, you don't want to go overboard: Too much of a good thing can be harmful. Indeed, some minerals, such as selenium, zinc and iron, can be dangerous in high levels. The jury's still out on others, because "ethical conditions limit research on humans,"

So i was going to get prenatial vitimans to make my hair grow healthier etc...but..can anyone answer this?!?

prenatal vitamins are very safe to take for hair growth. I am a guy and i take 4 prenatal vitamins every day.

I coloured my hair at the weekend but it has not covered properly so when can I re-do it.?

I had two packs and my friend did it for me, but she did not use the whole of the second bottle, I bought two as I have thick, long hair.

The trouble is it's only covered the top layer of hair, and when the hair is parted along the side you can see where it's not done properly.

I have bought the same colour and brand but don't want to re-apply if it will make my hair un healthy in any way.

Thanks in advance

I coloured my hair at the weekend but it has not covered properly so when can I re-do it.?

I'm a hair dresser and have done this before, TO MYSELF! lol

It is fine to reapply any time after you've done it. Believe it or not but hair die strengthens your hair and revitalises it,

Good luck and remember you'll look good no matter how bad it is.....

I coloured my hair at the weekend but it has not covered properly so when can I re-do it.?

after 48 hours you can reapply dye, remember to take your time though and do it proparly, goodluck x

I coloured my hair at the weekend but it has not covered properly so when can I re-do it.?

leave it for a day or two and then it should be good

I coloured my hair at the weekend but it has not covered properly so when can I re-do it.?

I've been a hairdresser for 15 years and done this to myself the odd few times myself..lol

It's fine to reapply the dye, just take your time and cover it properly this time.. If its a permanent dye you have used, your hair will possibly feel a little dry for a few weeks condition it well and you will be fine.

Obviously you don't want to be doing this every time you use a permanent.. Semi, tone on tones and quazi dyes are the way forward, they nourish your hair and leave it feeling lovely and the beauty of them is, you can change your colour more often and not be damaging your hair!

I`m am trying to grow my hair under a sew-in weave. any tips?product suggestions?

i am african-american and i had to cut my hair because it was seriously damaged. I now have a sew-in weave and i`m wondering how i can make sure how i can make my hair underneath long and healthy. Also my hair feels tight, is there any way i can ease the feeling on the edges?

I`m am trying to grow my hair under a sew-in weave. any tips?product suggestions?

do you have a relaxer? use this time to start growing it out. if you take this particular weave out, make sure you get your ends trimmed prior to putting another one in.

go to GNC (or a GNC type store) and purchase some hair nail and skin vitamins. the are great. biotin (a form of vitamin b) is the vitamin that is great for hair. find a good vitamin and take it daily while you have your weave.

as far as it being tight...it will loosen up after a couple of days :) if this is your first weave, you will soon love if you can handle it. i can keep mine for months, but others can only last a few weeks. it's very important to have a very good wash with a weave. my salon uses Sea Breeze to get between the braids and freshen them up. I love it. But you will need some type of oil b/c it will also dry out your scalp.

Good luck!

How can I make my hair less big?

I'm 15 and ever since like 7th grade I've had poofy wavy hair. A few days ago I got sunsilk anti-poofy conditioner and creme. It seems to have helped alot, but should I get the shampoo as well? I only bought it on a wim. I usually straiten my hair when I want to put it down, but that isn't very healthy for my hair. My hair has nice waves and in a half pony tale with the new creme it actually looks alright, but is there anything else I can do? Any natural things? Like...putting an egg yolk in my hair? I read that somewhere, never tried it though.

How can I make my hair less big?

you should straighten your hair! and if you are worried about the health, use heat protection spray!

you should definatley use the shampoo if the conditioner works for you

How can I make my hair less big?

go to the a dominacans hairsalon they get it straight for you

How can I make my hair less big?

don't style your hair or you wont have any by the time your 25!! I'm 24 (nearly 25) and my hair has thinned at alot since i was your age, i used to have similar problems.

what i would do is wash it with shampoo (- don't use conditioner more than once a week it'll get really greasy and you'll get spots) towel dry it til its damp then comb it and let it dry naturally - as it drys comb it through a couple more times, running your hand over where you have combed as you do it, this will keep it down - like naturally straigtening it. If you need to style it, mke sure you use a protective sirum first.

never brush your hair - that is how you get split ends!!

also if you find the conditioner doesn't last the week, use egg yoke instead (the yellow part only not the whites/clear part). It is a natural conditioner and works with more strength so lasts longer - though wash your hair with shampoo following if it smells - it shouldn't so long as the eggs aren't off.

also every so often use some aloe vera - go get yourself a full size aloe vera plant cut off a leaf and cut out the gel - do not use the leafs if they are spotty - they are not fully mature.

Good luck. x x

How can I make my hair less big?

Egg will make your hair stiff and sticky... so don't do that.

If you use a protecting cream on your hair before you straighten, it will not damage your hair... and make sure your straightener is CERAMIC, not metal. Only straighten everyother day.

Another easy trick is to wash your hair at night, brush your hair, apply a SMALL amount of mouse, and sleep in a low ponytail. When you wake up in the morning your hair shouldn't be as poofy.

Personally, I don't like Sunsilk brand. I think that Pantene 'Smooth and Sleek' shampoo and conditioner works the best. But if Sunsilk is working for you, then I would buy the shampoo too. Hope this helps.

How can I make my hair less big?

If it were me i would use the shampoo as well......also if you blow dry your hair straight with a vent brush like a good flat one it will make your hair look thinner and it doesnt have as much heat and breakage.......but i dont suggest you use anything that says all natural or organic...one thing i have learned being in cosmo school is that it only has to be 2% organic or natural for them to call it that.........so nothing is never all nautral unless you pick it from the earth yourself

How can I make my hair less big?

My hair is naturally thick and wavy as well, i found after i had it layered it was much thinner and easier to handle.

How can I get the best best hair possible?

What is the best way to get HEALTHY AND NATURAL hair that shines and is very healthy haha.. thnx

How can I get the best best hair possible?

Rinse your hair after washing it , in cold water... and I mean as cold as you can stand it. Do this for a couple of days and you'll see how nice and shiney your hair is. I've been doing it every day for years and have long hair and it looks really nice and healthy and if I say so my self, Beautiful. Try it , you'll like it.

My hair is really dry?

I've dyed my hair red a few times and now my hair is really dry..especially on the ends. I know dying makes hair dryer..but is there a way to make it healthier. My hair grows like wild fire so it feels like every time I get it feeling better, it's time to dye it again. It's so frustrating!

My hair is really dry?

First of all...don't use hot oil treatments, any colorist will tell you that because the oil leeches some of the pigment out of your hair and your color will fade...and since red dye fades so quickly anyway (as you probably know) you don't want to do that. When I had really dry ends, the only thing that helped was trimming them off! I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear, but especially if your hair grows fast, it will make a big difference. A lot of companies make a deep conditioning cream...they're a lot thicker than regular conditioners. Pantene makes a good one, and Garnier Fructis makes a good one too. This probably sounds weird but try this: rinse your hair with pretty warm water, wring out (gently) as much of the water as you can, as quickly as you can to keep your hair warm. Apply the conditioner or conditioning mask liberally as quickly as you can, then wrap your hair up in saran wrap, and then wrap it all with a towel that was soaked in warm water (wring it out of course so it isn't dripping all over!). The warmth helps open up the cuticle of your hair so the conditioner absorbs more. You can leave it on however long, at least 3-5 minutes. You can do this at home, and a lot of salons offer a deep conditioning treatment that is similar to this if you want to do that every so often. I know this is super long but one more thing! Dove makes this AWESOME spray, it's called Sheer Moisture Leave-In Repleneshing Mist. I live and die by this stuff. You can spray it in your hair, wet or dry (I usually do it wet though), and you can spray as much as you want and it will NOT make your hair all greasy or limp or anything, it just adds moisture. It's amazing, I couldn't believe it...I actually tried spraying a crapload on my hair to see at what point it would make my hair greasy, and it never did. It is so cheap...please try it, even if (for some bizarre reason) you hate it, you are only out $5. Good luck with your hair battle! I am obsessed with having soft, shiny, healthy hair...I think it does so much for your appearance and self confidence...so I've experimented with a lot of different stuff :) Hope you find what works for you, and that this helped.

My hair is really dry?

Haha wow I'm glad I could help so much! I hope you solve your problem...I know how frustrating it can be! Good luck! Report It

My hair is really dry?

hello hydration ---------- herbal essences its the blue one

My hair is really dry?

Supercondition it .. put loads of conditioner on it and wrap in a towel for a few hours ..

Do this once a week and condition it every time u wash it

My hair is really dry?

Try using a hot oil treatment. and after you wash your hair mist in a leave in conditioner

also checkout my question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

My hair is really dry?

if you dye ur hair ask someone at a salon your friend or family memeber goes too. if you get it professionally done ask ur hairstylist. or maybe look online or ask people how they get there hair from being dry.

best of luck:]

My hair is really dry?

cholesterol treatments, hot oil treatments and use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

My hair is really dry?

i saw someone say cholesterol treatment......no. Use products that are made for color treated hair, that's what they design them for. they design them for people like you. also if your going to blow dry and you thermal irons for your hair, spray a thermal protector. but at the same time try not to use a lot of thermal irons and blow drying. Deep conditioners every 4th week

My hair is really dry?

Asians use coconut or olive oil and leave it in for about an hour before washing off. Usually once a week.

Saw this on tv, get some non-dye henna powder in a bowl and activate it with a little hot water, stir and stand for 5 minutes, then add in yogurt and mix. Let it stand for 20 minutes to mature.

Use sweet almond oil (you can add 1-2 drops essential oil like lavender etc) to coat the hair especially the ends. Massage the henna conditioner into the scalp. Leave 20 minutes then rinse off. Good for healthy scalp and adds shine to hair.

My hair is really dry?

if ur hair is dry and damaged ask ur self these question and be fair in answering :

do i style my hair too much using heat and gel and other chemicals that damage my hair?

did i dyed my hair more than once this yr?

do i use hair straigthening or heat curling iron too much?

did i permed my hair alot this hair(more than once)

if ur answer is yes to twice or more of these question then u r the reason, and u do not care abt ur hair at all,and u should learn abt the basic hair care and routine to keep ur hair smooth, healthy.

2nd:u should make a choice:

if u want to keep damaging ur hair then try hasir extentions they r good for u,if u do not like them then try to use less damaging hair styling products, and have a haircut that do not require perming ur hair or damaging it,then u should have a hair treatment course(using natural product or using expensive products it is ur choice according to ur budget)

email me if u want me to recommand hair treatment for u(natural or expensive ones)

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

My hair is naturally dark brown. If I dye my hair a light, golden brown, will that be easier on my hair than going blonde? I understand "natural" hair is healthiest, but is blonde hair dye more harsh on your hair than brown hair dyes? Thanks so much for any advice!!

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

The only way to actually lighten your hair is to use bleach - whether you go white blonde or somewhere in between. Bleach damages it - fact. Go for the colour you want! But remember maintenance is expensive!

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

Im Blonde And Brown But Blonde Is Better By Far

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

hmmmm keep you hair dark brown, its sexi

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

I don't think the colour makes a difference... All hair dyes will damage your hair! The best thing is probably to use special shampoos and conditions for chemically treated hair afterwards, to keep it healthy. Also, a "natural" way to lighten hair is just to pour on lemon juice and then stay out in the sun.

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

Anytime you lighten your hair, you run the risk of damage. When lightening hair you are usually using harsh chemicals in order to remove the color from the hair (bleach or peroxide). The light brown-if bleaching-means the bleach will not be in your hair as long, when using a peroxide based color the times are usually the same, but the peroxide volume is higher. I would say the healthiest option is going to be a light brown peroxide based color/lightener.

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

going blonde will be harder on your hair because it totally bleaches the color out. if you really wanna go blonde, dont try to do it yourself. you will end up with bright orange hair. make sure you go to the salon to get it done.

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

blond dye is much worse than dark, it causes a lot of breakage and dryness, mostly because when you go from dark to blond it contains a bleaching agent.

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

the hair color has the same effect, bleach on the other hand is really bad for your hair!!

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

Hi you cant dye your hair blonde if you have dark brown hair as it wont work, you have to bleach it. I recommend using highlighting first as going all blonde will see a bit weird after being dark so long. So us Bblonde Highlight medium to dark brown hair and leave on for the maximum time it says about 2 hours and then you will have lovely blode highligts dont wash off till the hair looks blonde or yellow or white all over as you might end up with ginger patches.

But if you use a blonde hair dye it wont take at all and if you use just a brown I dont think that will work much either. You can get a hair dye that by LIVE colours which is for dark hair to lighten it but I have never tried it and I wouldnt really recommend it as you could end up orange.

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

BLONDE DYE ARE YOU CRAZY???? that is basically bleaching your hair which can dry it out FAST. if you want a lighter color keep the brown but try a LIGHT brown. good luck

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

As said before, dark hair would have to be bleached and you are unlikely to get the colour that you want from a regular bleaching alone so you would then have to put a colour on it as well but it isnt recommended that you do it straight after bleaching as your hair needs time to recover. There are some dyes out there that include lighteners in them but they dont give great results. You might be best doing it gradually with highlights - think Jennifer Aniston.

Blonde Hair Dye vs Brown Hair Dyes?

I have natural dark brown hair and hed blond hair and now light brown hair look for vigena chestnut brown i think thats how u spell it or blond hair if u want wont make a difference

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

anytime i highlight , bleech my hair it gets frizzy , course , dry , fried , breaks , no matter how much i deep conditon it or how many hot oil treatments i use , I see women that have healthy , soft bleeched hair , what are they doing different

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

Use a higher quality of conditioner, and skip a day of shampooing here, and there;)

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

Don't just use any kind of conditioner...and also use leave in conditioning treatments.

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

bad spelling

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

panetene they have different kinds but its the best

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

I do all sort of stuff to my hair and its always soft. I use Suave products. they are inexpensive and they work. good luck

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

maybe they are using a bleech that is fast.if you don't leave it on for too long maybe it doesn't harm alot.but i'm not sure.

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

Same thing happens to me- I cut my hair short to cut off the death- it actually looks much better/healthier. I was doing my own hair.

I think it has to be done by a professional- I got what I paid for-a cheap job.

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

I have coarse dry curly hair AND I bleach it regularly (once a month) I use conditioner in the shower every day, then I use leave in conditioner when I style it. AND once a week I use a deep conditioner where I put it in my hair, put a plastic bag on my hair and then sit in the tub for 20-30 minutes. Do not use shampoo every day. Once or twice a week tops. Finally, styling products can make a difference. Experiment with different styling products.

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

they get special conditioning treatments done on their hair. if you go to a beauty school they can do them there for really cheap and if you a bit scared about going there they cannot mess it up! i saw a person put pantene-pantene is a horrible idea....you should see the people i do that use that stuff, all it takes it me taking my really good flat ironand a pass on that hair to get them to stop using that stuff. it coats your hair thats why it seems to look and feel better....yuck! its making me gag just thinking about it!

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

After coloring use a good conditioner and allow it

to sit for at least 5 minutes.

Skip the washing, drying and styling products 1 day

of every week...give it a rest.

Before you blowdry, put some mousse on the ends,

and as you dry, squirt your brush with a dab of sheen

shine or gloss (or a dab of olive oil) and thoroughly

dry each section, when the section is dry, run the brush

over the top. If you still have frizzies put a dab of sheen

on your palms, rub them together and flatten flyaways

then brush once more down...

Good luck

How do women that bleech there hair keep it so conditioned and soft ?

well alto matters on the bleach you are using, certain bleaches make you hair alot more dry, certain bleaches are way better for you hair, don't dry out the hair as much. Also matters how high of a developer you are using, using a 40 with say "basic white" your hair is going to be a mess, 30 developer sometimes works just as well as 40.

Do you think thats bad? And would you go out with it? Is it okay? Also will it look natural?

Thanks loads for your help!!!

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

Mmk, well... where are you planning to wear the wig and what colour is it?

Anyway, I would honestly braid it or put a hose-thing on it like the other guy said. You could also put the wig on over your own hair, but if you do, make sure it won't slip or show your real hair. That'll just ruin it.

Or you could always shave your head. xD. Just kidding. Don't do that.

I hope this helps. It'll look great, I'm sure. %26lt;3

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

u can wrap it real good instead of braiding it and put the wig over that

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

well of course you put the wig over your hair! it isnt bad and i think you it isnt a bad idea. ask the person your buying it from how to wear your hair underneath the wig.

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

if u put on the wig directly over ur head it will stay but it will b more secured from slipping if u braid ur hair coz the tiny clips can hold more firmly against the braids. braiding also makes it look natural and not too big for ur head.

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

you would need to have on a stocking cap ...if you don't know what that is you can cut part of your pantie -hose off ((but off the butt part..and wear it under the wig)).. cause you don't want any danger or your hair to sweat...

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

lol, of corse you have to put the wig over ur hair!!!

ask the person that ur buying the wig from what to do.

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

Wigs are not really made to have your own hair sticking out from under neath them, unless they are 3/4 or 1/2 wigs and such. You need to secure your own hair to your head, braiding takes about 30 seconds on that short of hair anyways. Then you place a wig cap over it, and then the wig. Any of your normal hair will show under the wig, and it will look for sure as if you are just wearing a wig incorrectly, as if it were a hat. Most wigs are not meant to be worn as hats, with your natual hair sticking out at the neckline, it will feel bad, and look bad. Take the 30 seconds to braid it, and invest the $3 for a wig cap at your wig store, the store you are buying it from should be able to advise you the absolute best

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

you don't HAVE to braid your hair, but it will look much more natural if you do. as others have suggests, braid your hair then put a wig cap over it, to help it look more like it's your real hair. be sure to talk to whoever is selling the wig to you, as well. they will have the best information to help you

Do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair?

You can just put the wig on your hair. Or just ask the person who ur buying the wig from. Or put it in a low pony-tail?

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Over time from straightening it all the time and relaxing it, my hairs become extremely dry and damaged..I have crazy split ends and want to grow it out..im going to cut some of the damage off is there anything i can do to grow my hair out healthy without cutting it all off?...Even my bangs are really bad...what can i do about this?...i cant cut my bangs off...

Really Damaged, dry hair?

You should start treating your hair before it grows out...i.e., before it leaves the folical. Introduce Omega 3 oils into your diet via fish oil or flax seed oil.

In the meantime, stop drying your hair or use a product on your hair that specifically addresses damage by blow drying. Most of these products help protect the hair from the heat damage.

Do hot oil treatments, too. The more conditioned your hair is, the better, but understand, there is nothing you can do to bring your hair back to it's natural luster because it's dead (like fingernails). you just have to keep the future hairs healthy by adding dietary nutrition to your hair care routine.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

I would suggest, straightening, blowdrying, etc. your hair as little as possible, and go to a convience store and pick up some a nice product that will solve your problems

Really Damaged, dry hair?

I think you should start using Nexxus line of products because they work great. It made my hair healthy, shinny, and damage free.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

when my hair was like dat i used white peoples shampoo and conditioner treseme is excellent but most of the time i used tea tree olive oil for my condition it strenthens your hair

Really Damaged, dry hair?

I had this problem a year ago i fried my hair, just let it heal like, Condition it alot stay away from straighteners for awhile dont put anything else in your hair like give it a trim to get the dead ends off

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Well - my hair was the exact same way - I tried to cover up my roots about 9 months ago with this blondish/redish hair dye - turned my hair ronald mcdonlad red!!! so I dyed it black in the same day - still drying it, straightening it... OMG. my hair was like straw! so bad - now I go get it done professionally and she always tells me to use avacado oil on my hair (you can find it at like a whole foods market) It has worked wonders - wear it as a hair mask for 10 minutes while in the shower - or even wear it overnight. It works wonders!! Good luck

Really Damaged, dry hair?

You can't really grow out split ends because they split even more if you let them grow out. Trust me I know I have hair to my waist and it's REALLY healthy. Hair tips: Don't dye or add chemicals [hair spary, gels etc.], don't shower in hot water, don't blow dry or do anything that has to do with heat unless on special occasions.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Lay off the heat and chemical treatments. Seriously. To grow it out healthy, you're going to have to get the split ends trimmed off- talk to a stylist. She'll be able to help you keep as much length as possible. To improve the condition, do some deep-conditioning treatments. There are a lot you can do with just things you've probably got around your kitchen now. This site has directions for several: http://greenliving.suite101.com/article.... And one of my favorites uses just your regular hair conditioner. Do this one on a day you'll be able to just hang around at home, though. Start by just washing your hair as your normally would, then coat it pretty heavily with your normal conditioner, but don't rinse it out. Pin or tie it all up (including your bangs- the conditioner is good for your hair, but it's not so good for the skin on your forehead), and just let it sit for a couple hours while you do whatever. Then hop back in the shower and wash it out. Good luck!

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Cut as much off as you can stand,as for the bangs, just trim them. Just keep getting trims every month until your hair starts shaping up. Try not to use heat on your hair and if you do use spray in heat protector. Try wearing your hair up some times, maybe even get a hair piece so that you can wear your hair up but not have to do anything with your real hair. The hair piece will make it look nice with little effort. The only way to get rid of damaged hair is to cut it off, don't let anyone tell you that it can be repaired because it can not be.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

This is going to sound gross, but try a mayo mask. Literally, just cover your hair in mayo, wrao some plastic wrap around it(to keep in the moisture) and then cover it with a towel. Let it set for about 15-20 minutes. Then go wash your hair.

I know it sounds crazy, but it really works. My hair was fried form all the coloring and blowdrying too. But then my mom told me to try this, and it really helped.

If you want to go buy something, try a hot oil treatment.

Just make sure your using the right shampoo and conditioner. Some may actually make things worse if they are too harse for your hair. Read the labels carefully.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Buy a product called Cholesterol, it is a cream in a big jar,and isn't very expensive, you put it all over your hair, and wrap it in plastic wrap and let it set for a while, even an hour. Then wash it out and use a moisturizing conditioner every time you shampoo, letting it sit in your hair for at least 5 minutes to give it time to sink in. Also, for frizzy hair, buy John Frieda products, they can help repair your damaged hair and have a heavy duty conditioner, and several products just for frizzy damaged hair.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

ok, well first off- how often do u relax ur hair?? u should relax it only every 3-4 months and when u do- only the new growth should be touched up. to not do so causes extreme breakage and split ends- also, when u get a relaxer always cut ur ends.

as for the breakage- trimming ur hair every 6-8 weeks should do it...

use plenty of conditioners, moisturizers, and deep hot oil treatments to treat damaged hair...

try using an avocado that is extremely ripe and smoosh it all like mashed potato's and add a little of olive oil to it, then apply the mix to ur hair, once u've done that put a plastic cap on and sit under a dryer for about 20 to 25 minutes. then rinse the mix out and set ur hair in rollers. remember blowdrying and flat ironing ur hair will cause more breakage so limit the use of those instruments..

good luck.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

go to a salon and get a deep conditioner treatment to start with , the when your washing your hair and use conditioner leave a little in your hair. if you are going to blow dry or straighten use protection for your hair like Biolage soothing hair serum.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

When your doing chemical treatments to your hair, you got to be very careful.if you straighten your hair today ,again until six/seven months you shouldn't do any chemical treatment.the reason for this, after doing a chemical treatment, you hair is going to become very dry, during the first two, three weeks of treatment you can see your hair is falling too. but slowly ,slowly it will turn back to normal.after straightening, you have to take lot of care of your hair, you have to use a good conditioner every time you shampoo your hair.(USE SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER FOR DRY/DAMAGE HAIR)once a month do a deep conditioning treatment.once a week do a good oil massage.this is good for your scalp, hair roots too.BUT FIRST OF ALL TRIM YOUR HAIR.then do these treatments,I'm sure your hair will become back to normal.my advice to you first nourish your hair then start to grow.its no point of growing unhealthy hair.so do the treatments i told, then i will tell you how to grow hair.I'M AN ASIAN BEAUTICIAN %26amp; HAIRDRESSER.NOW I'M FURTHER STUDING IN UK.i'm sure i can help you.dont worry.

How to prevent hairfall and how to make hair healthier and thicker?

I want to prevent my hairfall and want to have shine and health...

How to prevent hairfall and how to make hair healthier and thicker?

depends upon the reason why your hairs are falling.

I will cahnge my answer to give you specific answer. First find the cause why your hairs are falling . Only then you will getr right answer.

What does it mean when you have two-toned hair?

I found a strand of hair that was 1/2 dark brown (my natural color) and 1/2 blond (something I've never been). The brown was at the root, which makes me think it's not turning white.

I'm only 21 (so probably not the turning-white-early syndrome), my hair is very healthy (ask my hair dresser - she hates me for it!), and I've never used any hair coloring products. Any ideas?

What does it mean when you have two-toned hair?

..the sun? i have no idea.

What does it mean when you have two-toned hair?

Two tone hair color is when your hair is exactly that, two tones. Like for example, Christina Aguilara when she had her hair blonde on top and red on the bottom.

What can I do to make my hair grow faster and healthier?

My hair is damaged and I am trying to grow it out. Any recommendations for getting it healthy and making it grow faster? Vitamins? Shampoos? Diet? Anything?

What can I do to make my hair grow faster and healthier?

DR MiRAClES...purchase at your local drugstore

What can I do to make my hair grow faster and healthier?

I'll tell you what I did while I was growing my hair out....

-Prenatal pills-they help your hair grow faster than those "Hair. Skin and Nails" vitamins

-I slept with this stuff called supergrow on my hair. Its really for African American hair...makes our hair really really greasy. Which is why I slept in it and wash it out in the morning. It really helped control the split ends and keep it healthy and shiny

-Also...If I wasnt sleeping with the supergrow on my hair i only actually shampooed my hair every other day or more. I would just get it wet and condition it. Sounds dirty but it really is not necessary for most people to wash there hair EVERY single day. Esp. in the winter time.

Hope that helps you some :) Good luck! Long hair is beautiful!

What can I do to make my hair grow faster and healthier?

Is it too soon to color my hair???

I had long hair and it was breaking ... so I just got a new cut last week. Do you think I should wait to see if my hair is healthier now, or go ahead and get it colored?

Is it too soon to color my hair???

I did the same recently. I had really broken and damaged hair, i got it cut, thought it was safe to dye again, but since it was dyed so recently, the ends broke AGAIN. it was a huge mistake, and i had to cut it even shorter. I would wait at least a couple of weeks.

Is it too soon to color my hair???

It's not too soon as long as most of the hair that was in bad shape got cut off...

Is it too soon to color my hair???

Maybe you should wait a little longer just to be sure.

Is it too soon to color my hair???

I would wait, you don't want to get color too early.

What is the best shampoo/condit. for curly-frizzy-DAMAGED-long-dry-... hair?

Ok, so my hair is all those things, it feels like straw, and the split ends are never-ending. And yes, I have tried all of those home remedies, and those are nice for every once in a while, but I want a shampoo and or conditioner that is not only great for your hair, but makes your hair more healthy. And I know the only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them. And no pantene pro-v or anything like that please. It is just that every hairstylst has a different opinion, and I just want to hear from someone who is either a professional or has hair like mine and knows what they are talking about. Thanks for your help!

My daughter has hair down to her butt. she has learned that she needs to not use the same kind for more than a month. because it builds up on your hair. the price means nothing. one month she'll be using sauve, and the next month it's something else.

she also uses a hot oil treatment every 6 weeks, it stops hers from getting dried out. When you use conditioner, make sure you leave it un for a few minutes to really get the benifits from it.

everyone's hair is differant, so you will just have to try differant things until you find one that works for you.

Honestly, this is a personal opinion. I use Tigi Bedhead Dumb Blonde. It is not just for blondes, it is meant for all damaged hair (the name "Dumb Blonde" is derived from girls dying their hair blonde to the point of complete and utter destruction). It ,worked on my hair (VERY WELL, VERY CONDITIONING!) but everyone is different. It is also not cheap. BUT, I can tell you from past expeiences, that usually it goes on sale at salons, or at authorized retailers (like Trade Secret) at certain times of the year, like after Christmas, for 19.99 for a liter of shampoo and a liter of conditioner. That is pretty much a steal on anyone's budget, if you think of the quality of the product you are getting, and also the volume (2 liters in all). But please listen to everyone and take thaqt into account; what works for one may not work for another. Good luck and God bless your frazzled hair! Terra G

Dear hon, IT's not in the shampoo/Conditioner but in the daily care. TRUST ME!!! I myself have long, Multiple processed dreds (that's right, three strikes %26amp; I'm out). We're talking bleached at least seven times in the past two months, dyed more times than you can count AND DREDDED!!!! So what I've found is that dry hair and curly hair like ours truly has to undergo a beauty ritual to be truly healthy. First, you should have a light oil that you use on your hair every day WITHOUT FAILURE!!! Mine is an olive oil, but there are great placenta, mink, carrot, and coconut oils you can try. Next, twice a week you should apply a hair balm to your hair (and I do mean once every 3.5 days). First you have to apply it to your scalp, then you have to apply it to the entire length of your hair from root to tip, so it really is two jobs in one. I like indian hemp best of all for this (but it really has to be a cream or a vaseline like substance or it won't stick). Finaly, once a week regardless of what your regular conditioner is, you should add a deep conditioner that can stay on your head for like 30 minutes to your routine. I don't care about the oil conditioner because that's never thorough enough. I'm talking like a nice creamy cholesterol that will really sit there for a while. After this bombardment of daily protection and nourishment, your hair will recover major damage points and a shine you haven't seen in probably a while.

What is the best shampoo/condit. for curly-frizzy-DAMAGED-long-dry-... hair?

what is wrong with you people? you really believe all that cheap crap will work?

use the redken line. it is one of the THEE BEST products you could use on your hair. it's highly recommended and any GOOD hairstyling school will only use it and recommend it.

garnier, tresemme, herbal essence, etc. -- JUNK

paying $3 for a bottle of shampoo that "claims" to reconstruct damaged and brittle hair is crap. you get what you pay for.

What is the best shampoo/condit. for curly-frizzy-DAMAGED-long-dry-... hair?

i had the same problem

i went to the parlor and had them cut of the bottom of my dead ends. about an inch(helps grow faster too)

so i use infusium shampoo and conditioner.

another thing hun

if you got real long hair

there is no way your getting all that residue out from products you use in your hair

so take some vinegar about a cup and dialute it with about half of water once a week.

plus another good thing is to not wash it every day it strips that natural oils in your hair.

and make sure they thin your hair if its thick

Do u know how to make your hair healthier and give them volume without using shampoos and masks?

Have u ever used henna? that really works. Although it seemed to be too outdated like our grand-grand-grandparents used it, when i tried it, it was awesome? do u know some beauty secrets of masks or smth like this?

Do u know how to make your hair healthier and give them volume without using shampoos and masks?

Put olive oil in your hair and let sit in it for 15-20 minutes then wash out really well .

Do u know how to make your hair healthier and give them volume without using shampoos and masks?

Nice hair is not so much about what product you are using on it.

Our hair is a reflection of what is going in inside of our bodies. For an extreme example - in some third world nations where poverty is rife and malnutrition is common, the hair that should be dark black is more like a copper red. This shows that the person is lacking proper nutrition in their diet.

When a person starts to eat very healthily, (nuts, seeds, fruit, whole-grains, protein,.... ) the hair will start to glow and will be much healthier.

Another tip for women is not to use too much heat (hairdryers, curlers, straighteners... ) on their hair as to much heat will destroy the structure of the hair.

Also if you leave a good 36-48 hrs in between washing it rather than over-washing it, the natural oils will have a chance to replenish the hair and give it a healthy shine. Otherwise you're just removing all that healthy oil and essentially drying it out with chemicals.

What at home treatment can I use to rid of my dry, damaged hair?

I used to straighten my hair every single day, which I know isn't healthy for your hair at all. I decided to stop straightening a while back in June, and my hair just hasn't seemed to get any healthier since I stopped. I've used moisturizers and the works, and nothing has been helping. I've also heard that taking showers every day is bad for you, but I have to take one each day because of my oily forehead - it makes my hair extremely greasy.

What can I do? What will actually help?!

What at home treatment can I use to rid of my dry, damaged hair?

You really should wash your hair every other day...but I do feel for you when you say your hair gets greasy when you don't wash it everyday. If you are going to wash your hair everyday, don't shampoo it everyday, but do condition it.

After you shower, put in some leave in conditioner and stay away from blow drying your hair.

I've heard that putting avocado oil in your hair and letting it sit for a bit, then washing it out will help put some moisture back in to your hair...and you're only supposed to do this once a week. I've never tried it, so I wouldn't know first hand what it does to your hair.

What at home treatment can I use to rid of my dry, damaged hair?

Leave your conditioner in longer than usual. You can also give yourself a hot oil treatment. Also it helps if you not wash your hair everyday it leaves the oils to penetrate and you will have softer hair. If this doesn't work go and get cholesterol to put in your hair and use it over night. I know this works really well.

Repair my hair!!?

I used to bleach my hair, now i have been brown for about 4 months. I recently started letting my hair air dry and just using a flat iron when it dries....but i dont use the flat iron nearly as much as i used to. I also use heat protective spray. What else can i do so my hair gets healthy and not dried out...and do you think this well help my hair grow faster by not doing so much damage to it?

Repair my hair!!?

There are several new products, by Pantene, Nutrisse Gardiner, Tressemee...that are extensive conditioners that promise to heal damaged hair. Nutrisse even has one you leave on your hair. Do NOT use the iron anymore at all. It is the most damaging of anything to your hair. GBY

uh, no .

like. do what you want, but i would never .

Should I dye my hair pink?

Way to sound full of yourself, but sure why not. If you think your look is boring then do it. I mean you can always change your hair back if you don't like it. Or just dye a part of your hair.

Should I dye my hair pink?

why not! i did it :)

http://a785.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

Should I dye my hair pink?

pink isnt very pretty once it starts to fade; so keep tjhat in mind

Should I dye my hair pink?

If u are ready for a LOT of maintenance then yes. Becuz if u want it bright pink, you'll have to bleach ur hair and then dye it pink. Plus pink isn't a dye...its a pigment so you'll have to keep that up more so than the blonde! So just think about it first

Should I dye my hair pink?

YEA DAT WOULD BE HOT

BUT DO HALF PINK

Should I dye my hair pink?

yes u should! pink is an awesome color

Should I dye my hair pink?

No, you'll ruin your look.

Should I dye my hair pink?

Dye it black with pink streaks.

Although i really cant tell unless i saw a pic of you.

Should I dye my hair pink?

NO! you may like it then... but you will regret it later.

Should I dye my hair pink?

Since you have blonde hair, there's no need for bleaching.

I bleached my black hair to an orangish and got bright pink results.

Manic Panic's Hot Hot Pink is a wonderful pink and is very bright (and glows under blacklight).

Then they have cotton candy pink and flamingo pink which are more pastel-like.

Hope this helped.

Should I dye my hair pink?

no!

Should I dye my hair pink?

conceited much?

To be honest dying it all pink is too much. There's a lot of nice hairstyles out there where it's like..blonde streaks..or chunks of pink in the lower portion of your hair.

Does using lotion to style your hair damage it?

i remember seeing this tip on what not to wear but it only hit me just now that it might be damaging to your hair. i use it everyday to add some more curl to my hair b/c i thought that it would be less damaging than the curling mousse and curling gel that i use to keep my curls intact.

should i opt for a leave in conditioner or something more healthy for my hair to style it with or lotion okay to use? im using oil of olay b/c it doesn't leave a greasy residue

thx

it doesn't , if anything it makes it healthier. use a leave in conditioner though because it makes your hair softer.

Thinning hair what do i do?

I'm almost 17, healthy, but my hair is thinning out. what should i do to make it thicker?

Thinning hair what do i do?

Don't wear hats so much. I ahve heard putting rosemary or listerine on your hair will stimulate growth. There is rogaine for men and women. I would ask the doctor also since maybe you have some sort of imbalance in your body, hormonal or nutritional. Take vitamins and eat Jello- the gelatin does good things for your body.

Thinning hair what do i do?

Start with a product that helps stop hair loss and/or grows back hair. go to folica.com they have many products that could help you.

Thinning hair what do i do?

First, if you aren't sure why this is happening, consult your physician. There are several health reasons that can cause this, as it is fairly unusual in someone so young.

Second, if your hair truly is thinning and you have seen a doctor, you can use Nioxin hair care products (found at select salon retailers nationwide). They are made specifically for thinning hair and I absolutely love their scalp treatment.

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just

i've dyed my hair about 6x since last april and it's started to get really dry and look really dirty even though i've just washed it, i've tried different shampoos but i think i need some sort of conditioner...and not to mention my newest color looks pretty bad but i won't dye it more...i could at LEAST have healthy, shiny, clean hair like i used to....plz help

anything, home made conditioners, bought conditioners anything!!!!

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

Yeah, you probably have a buildup of dye on your hair. This in turn causes shampoo and other hair products to gunk up on top of dye, making hair look greasy. Also, the repeated application of chemicals is drying hair out.

Your best bet is to use a clarifying shampoo, or a dandruff shampoo every other day. These will slowly strip off the dye from hair shaft. But because they can also be harsh, be sure to follow with a good conditioner to prevent more damage (try herbal essences hello hydration, or biolage conditioning balm). When hair has improved, go and get a good haircut to remove all damaged ends.

After that, you can start over and dye again. You may want to consider switching brands of dye (if you do at home), since some build up more than others. Try Revlon Colorist or Feria, and use the conditioning treatment at least once a week in between. I would wait at least 8 weeks between coloring. If you can't wait that long, use the touchup method rather than the allover color method (put on roots only, then comb through for last ten minutes, see directions in box). That way, there won't be too much buildup.

If all this fails, you need to talk to a hairstylist.

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

get it cut, iused to dye my hair blonde, did for years and then about 4 years ago i went back brown and you know it really suits me it seems to have gone darker than i remeber it, everyone prefers it and my hair is in top condition. you want a good henna conditioner that you can apply to your hair then get a plastic bag tied to your head and apply some heat keep it on for few hours or you can even go to bed like that, your hair should feel great after that i promise

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

i have the same problem but , the more things you do to your hair like dying and perms and hilighting it takes a bang on your hair some people can do all type of things and it dosent do anything but you have to cut it to get all the bad ends off but you have to always condition it i cant say what to do cause theres all these remenidies but ask around.

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

Your hair has a natural outer layer called the cuticle. It is what protects the inner layers of the hair and keeps it shiny and clean-looking. Hair colors that contain peroxide and ammonia strip away the cuticle layer (the cuticle would keep the hair color from taking effect).

So, you've lost the protective layer of your hair that used to make it look moist and clean.

I color my hair (I have lots of grey) and the best conditioner I've found for restoring the shine is Pantene ProV Ice Shine.

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

I use L'oreal's intense repair conditioner. It works all the time! Another suggestion is not to use a hair dryer or a flat iron for a while, but make sure you dry your hair well before stepping out of the house. There are also numerous hot-oil treatments in the market today. Maybe those would help.

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

okay this is what you need to do. get a hair stripper and strip all old dye off of it becasue all of that is sufficating your hair. then when that is done it is clean and ready for a new dye. go ahead and dye it and then use a rinse to get rid of any brassyness. then get hair cut or trimmed and use a hair mask leave it in for about 30 minutes. then just continue to condition the crap out of it and dont dye it any more. i hope this works for you. good luck.

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

I had the exact prob when I was younger .....Go to a beauty supply store and get a tub of cholesterol it's usually about $8.00. comb it through your hair while damp then cover with a plastic bag and apply heat (blow dry) make sure to do this all over. for about 7mins. leave in for an additional 10 mins. then wash out thoroughly. do this once a week and you will be golden...

A trim every 6 weeks won't hurt either.

Good Luck

I've dyed my hair so ofen it's starting to get dry n look dirty even though i've just washed it, suggestions??

I have the same problem right now, Well, yesterday. I went to the salon and had he lady cut my hair and i had her suggest to me what I should do. She helped me out, and she was nice about it too! I dont know at chemicals she used or products but i had some money lying around and now I look like one of those ladies from the herbal essences commercials where their hair looks full and beautiful!!

Main shampoo on human hair?

hi

so i hear that main shampoo (such as horses' mains) has ingredients that are healthy for human hair. its supposed to make it grow thicker too and i was wondering is this true? **(will it be ok to use on my hair?)

thanks in advance

Main shampoo on human hair?

Its very true! It doesnt have all the additives like regular shampoo, its cheaper, it makes your hair grow thicker and it grows faster, and less of it comes out when you brush it too.

I use it all the time, I have hair down to my waist.

Look for "The original Mane-n-tail shampoo and conditioner"

Its sold at walmart, and there are directions for human use on the back as well, which means its approved for human use. Oh, and you will find it with the pet products, not with the people shampoos and conditioners.

Main shampoo on human hair?

People use Mane and Tail I think it's called and I have heard it makes your hair smooth and grow faster.

Main shampoo on human hair?

The shampoo you are asking about is called "Mane and tail" ... it was ORIGINALLY formulated for horses, but is now formulated for HUMANS ... it's supposed to make your hair grow thicker and faster, and be more healthy, but I've never 'noticed any difference' after a person switched to that brand. I'd go to a good hairdresser and have him/her recommend two or three 'good quality shampoos' and get one of each kind. NEVER wash your hair with only 'one shampoo' for more than three months ... then 'switch' to using another for three months ... it's best if you have 3-4 types of shampoo, and 'change them' every time you wash ... since I now do that, I need to 'wash less often' and my hair looks 'really nice' for the first time in my life.

I need hair tips, Can you help?

Does anyone know a web site or anything that could show me how to make my hair look healthy and shiny and styled it so that i'm actually in style and what product i should use?

I have shoulder length hair that is naturally very wavy and i've been doing allot of conditioning treatments because i had to strip my hair a year ago and i've been trying to get it back to normal. It's much better but i just don't know how to style it.

try dying it a dark color. It hides all the burned parts, and makes your hair appear way healthier.

I need hair tips, Can you help?

There is a product line call SLEEK LOOK I use it on my hair and it helps alot. It comes in different steps to help straighten it and you will need a straightner too. I works good though. And NIOXEN shampoo and conditioner is really good.

For city dwellers, what are good products for hair and skin to combat sun and pollution?

Since I've moved to Atlanta my hair and skin have suffered because of the pollution and the sunshine, even as much as I stay indoors. I have sensitive skin so I can't use anything too harsh in scent but please give me some ideas. I'd like to get my skin back to being healthy and my hair is to my bottom so it's also suffering a lot. Thanks in advance! :)

For city dwellers, what are good products for hair and skin to combat sun and pollution?

Try using products that contain UV filters. I know sunsilk has some of those but a lot of other brands surely do aswell. If you use make up, go for foundation that has a SPF (sun protective factor.) As for pollution, I don't really know =/ Apply sun lotion whether or not you're outside though, or whether or not it is sunny. UV rays still come through clouds, so you can still get sunburned. This way your skin will be moisturized, and it won't get burned!

Skin: Neutrogena

Blonde hair looks dull?

I noticed today my hair is starting to look dull...i am naturally light brown (Mouse) and I have highlights to brighten it up, but now it looks kinda dull and lank. My hair is a bit frizzy, as i use straighteners every day so i tame it with serum. will this make it lank?

I bought some Paul Mitchell Superstrength Shampoo and Conditioner today, plus some Seal and Shine. Do these products help make hair look healthy again? my hair is soft, it feels nice but it looks dull and unhealthy.

Blonde hair looks dull?

Wash your hair in warm water for the shampoo but when you're rinsing the conditioner out use cold water. The colder it is the shinier your hair will be (always works for me)

Also maybe try tanning your hair. Sometimes it works.

Blonde hair looks dull?

I would say its the straighteners causing the problems.

There is a few shampoo's and conditioners made to care for your hair if you straighten it.

Blonde hair looks dull?

Out of all of the hair-improvers, you'd probably be better off with a brand name, which you have. But if you feel like it's still unhealthy, I'd go to a hairdresser and ask around.

Blonde hair looks dull?

john frieda has a whole line of things to revive dull lifeless blonde hair.

it's amazing!

plus you can but it as walmart!

WALMART!

Blonde hair looks dull?

don't die so much it just makes your even more dull

Blonde hair looks dull?

Perhaps maybe have a good trim, and speak to your stylist for tips to make your hair seem more healthy.

When I found my blonde hair was going dull I used John Frieda Spotlight Blonde, it's a serum which you use on damp hair before you dry it, and I found that my highlights would stand out more and appear more bright.

Hope that helps!

Blonde hair looks dull?

from hair training experience i can tell you that your hair looks dull because you have been using straighters that damage and take away the natural oils of your hair that make it look sheen and lusterous.

.

any shampoo and conditioner you use wont get to the problem of the frizz and dull look.

you need to cut off the frizz parts, stop the straighterners for awhile, and use hot oil treatments.

and use baby shampoo to wash your hair with.

.

continue these until you can see better hair. then go back to damaging your hair again with straighteners.

.

Blonde hair looks dull?

I'd say to get Pantene color. I'm not so sure that's what it's called, but when it comes to blonde hair being dull it's a little tube that looks like it's cream, it has the colors of hair on the front, look for blonde, which ever type of blonde you are, then the instructions are easy just put on your regular shampoo and conditioner and then put it on your hair along with them. If that's not the name try asking workers of the store the description I gave you. It's especially made for giving life to your hair.

DYEING DARK BROWN HAIR LiGHTER??

Hey ive got dark brown hair and my desired shade would be a dark blonde but i know that would cause loadsa damage so im thinking of dyeing it light brown.

In the past ive dyed my hair sooo many times and didnt get the shade i wanted i just got red/orange tones because in the hairdressers i said do it 'natural' and 'warm tones' so now im going to look for 'cool' tones and colours so its just one colour

Now my hair is healthy and back to its natural colour so i want it light brown with little damage as poss. remember i want 'cool' or ash colours so theres no reddish hightlights.

Can i do this at home?

any products you can find on the web i can have a look at please?? or your own exp??

thanks 10 POINTS TO BEST ANSWER!!

xxxx

DYEING DARK BROWN HAIR LiGHTER??

There is no healthy way to make your hair lighter then you natural shade. You will always be picking up the red/orange undertones because that is the underlying color in all brunettes. You can use an ash, because that is a green tone, which removes unwanted orange tones, but too much ash isn't a good thing either. You cannot lift somebody's hair without causing damage. If you want to damage to be minimal, I would suggest getting highlights because then not every strand of your hair is damaged.

DYEING DARK BROWN HAIR LiGHTER??

ok, for one i would most def. go to the salon!! my mom let her sister convince her into to dying her hair from dark brown to a dark blonde and my moms hair turned out a reddish orange color. so i would just go to the salon they get paid to do there job and do it right, and if they dont then most likely you wont have to pay if they mess it to bad. good luck

DYEING DARK BROWN HAIR LiGHTER??

I am a licensed cosmetologist. I would not do this at home! Unless you have a friend that has a license. Everyones hair is different.Yor base color determines the final color your hair comes out. You say you have been in the past getting red %26amp; gold tones. You need to use a green base to counter act the red/gold tones.Green base will cut that red.Have you thought abous streaking it? Anytime you use a chemical on your hair it will cause some damage. you need to use a professional shampoo on your hair always. I recommend Biolage shampoo %26amp; conditioner. A little bit goes a long ways. You can tell the first time you use it ,it works! Good luck %26amp; let me know.

DYEING DARK BROWN HAIR LiGHTER??

I would also say go to a salon. I have dark brown hair and wanted it to go light brown or a dirty blond and I went to the hair salon they have in Wal-Mart and they fried my hair. She died it once turned Orange! Twice-Oranger! And she did it the 3rd time same session and it burned my scalp. So I would say it is worth the money to get someone your trust to do your hair the right way the first time. I paid 40.00 to get my hair orange and there was nothing I could have done about it. So good luck, the lady told me my hair was so dark it would not turn. But I know thats not true.

DYEING DARK BROWN HAIR LiGHTER??

I agree with toxic, please go to a salon and have it professionally done. I have the same hair dilemma as you do. I had 2 toned my hair which was a bad mistake on my part.

It was dark brown on the bottom and yellowish gold on top because she colored on top of color, did not like the results so then I went to another hair dresser 3 weeks later explaining to her what I wanted done. My natural hair color is dark blonde, fair skin, blue eyes and pink undertones, she put foils of bleach in between the dark brown and then applied dark blonde all over my hair and my results were a dark blonde with gold/ red tones.

I told her I wanted a cool shade to match my skin tone and she did just the opposite, so in order for me to achieve the desired color I want, I have to strip my hair of all color and re- dye it again. The only advise I could give you is have it done in a salon, trust me you will be glad you did. Hope everything turns out ok.

Would dyeing your hair won't be healthier again?

I dyed my hair like more than 5 times. i lost count. well. like im just gonna do highlights and dye my hair one more time until my natural color grow again. Is it true that when my natural hair grow again would it be like dead? Like my hair won't ever be healthey again, and won't shine? Oh, yes i did oil treatment.

Would dyeing your hair won't be healthier again?

no, thats not true. as long as you take good care of it, you're hair should be fine. nothing is going to permanently damage your hair forever. any new hair that grows will be exactly that...NEW hair. no chemicals, no heat, healthy as it's gonna get. just use good products, wash it every other day, use good conditioners, and get it trimmed once in a while, and it will be healthy and shiny.

Would dyeing your hair won't be healthier again?

While it's true that dying your hair over and over again will fry the hair that's dyed, it won't do anything to the hair that's growing. Since you used a good moisterizing conditioner on your hair now, it should definately be good to be dyed again. Just keep using a good conditioner on your hair and it'll be perfectly fine!

Would dyeing your hair won't be healthier again?

if you don't like your hair why don't you just shave it all off and maybe it would grow back healthier

I want to dye my hair black with indigo/henna?

Does anyone know anything about dying hair black with indigo/henna? I want to try it because they say it's healthy for your hair rather than damaging like normal dye, but I've also heard that it's a looong process. But, from what I've heard, it's worth it because it's the best black you can get your hair to be.

Has anyone tried it? How much stuff will I need? And is it hard?

Any help you could offer would really be appreciated.

I want to dye my hair black with indigo/henna?

ya its hard but ya its worth it

I want to dye my hair black with indigo/henna?

did it with henna, it came out crappy and when it faded it looked horrid. I would say stick with regular dye followed by color treatments and lots of Redkin 5th Avenue.

aah. im like a total butt when it comes to like hairstyles.

well appreciated.

btw i have thin hair. not sure if thats gonna help with anything but yeah. THANKKKSSSSS[;

Any tips on a curling iron for hair please?

NEVER straighten or curl wet or damp hair. it damages the hair really badly. wait until your hair is dry. purchase a bed head curling iron they work FANTASTIC.

Any tips on a curling iron for hair please?

Use a treseme heat tamer spray so you don't damage your hair! and to get really good curls, I use a lot of hair spray %26amp; prostyl gel. But since you have thin hair, you may want to purchase some big 99 cent rollers. they work wonders. L0L.

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

My daughter has wild bushy wavy hair that she hates and always has tied up. I straightened her hair for her birthday party and she loved it so much she wants to keep it straight. I told not all the time as I am not sure this can damage her hair with her being so young.

I straighten mine all the time and my hair stays shiny and healthy, but not sure about her's.

Can anyone advise how safe/dangerous this is for her hair??

Many thanks

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

You can use hairstraightners on her hair, I'd recommend a relaxing shampoo and conditoner first such as L'anza Strait Line to relax the hair by up to 30% then I'd use the L'anza heat protector to keep it from damaging the hair, then pop some serum on it for silky locks all day long!

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

no ceramic hair straighteners dont hurt your hair.

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

I wouldn't do it all the time, maybe once a week, but making sure she brushes it often before washing to get all the oils flowing through to the ends and make sure she has good conditioner. Maybe your daughter doesn't need to grow up so quickly and worry about such things just yet?

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

i straighten my 7 year old daughters hair but onlt occasionally.

it will damage her young hair if done all the time.

but some of that spray that u put on beofre straightening to protect the hair.

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

As long as you use a heat protector product on her hair before you straighten, it should protect the hair fine. As long as you're not holding the irons' on for too long, there will be no long term damage.

If she's anything like my neice, she'll get bored of going through it after a while, and then want to stay natural!

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

Well, ceramic straighteners work good and heat evenly and keep your hair shiny. I guess it would be ok, just a long as you don't straighten her hair like every day. It may also help if u by shampoos and conditioners for your daughters type of hair. It may make it more manageable. It's just a thought though.

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

take your daughter to a pro. maybe someone you have gone to for years, they will give you advice. I have found that John Freida products work well, All you have to do is put it in your hair and blow dry straight, which you have to do anyway. Try the straightening shampoos and conditioners.

People with straight hair want curls, curls want straight.Hopefully she will eventually learn to like her own hair without all the processing.

Good Luck.

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

well my aunt straightens my little cousins hair once a week and shes 8 , the doctor told her just dont do it every day so it should be okay

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

it is ok, but you should be verycareful because they can get hot

Is it safe to use ceramic straighteners on my 9 yr old daughters hair?

can veronica A tell us why her aunt took her little niece to the doctor to find out how often you can straighten an 8 year olds hair. does the doctor work 2 part time jobs 1 as a doctor and the other as a hairdresser. or can you get a cut and blow dry while you pick up your prescription at the local practise.
