do you have to braid your hair to wear a wig or can i wear the wig over my hair? My hair is shorter than the wig i am buying. Help pls!

Would it cause a bump or something and look unnatural if i dont braid it? I dont want to braid my hair to be honest.

I just want a wig for the fun of it..My hair is healthy and about 19inches long but the wig i am buying is 23 inches so it is much longer.. I am buying it just for a change in colour and for some fun..

Do you think thats bad? And would you go out with it? Is it okay? Also will it look natural?

Mmk, well... where are you planning to wear the wig and what colour is it?

Anyway, I would honestly braid it or put a hose-thing on it like the other guy said. You could also put the wig on over your own hair, but if you do, make sure it won't slip or show your real hair. That'll just ruin it.

Or you could always shave your head. xD. Just kidding. Don't do that.

well of course you put the wig over your hair! it isnt bad and i think you it isnt a bad idea. ask the person your buying it from how to wear your hair underneath the wig.

if u put on the wig directly over ur head it will stay but it will b more secured from slipping if u braid ur hair coz the tiny clips can hold more firmly against the braids. braiding also makes it look natural and not too big for ur head.

you would need to have on a stocking cap ...if you don't know what that is you can cut part of your pantie -hose off ((but off the butt part..and wear it under the wig)).. cause you don't want any danger or your hair to sweat...

Wigs are not really made to have your own hair sticking out from under neath them, unless they are 3/4 or 1/2 wigs and such. You need to secure your own hair to your head, braiding takes about 30 seconds on that short of hair anyways. Then you place a wig cap over it, and then the wig. Any of your normal hair will show under the wig, and it will look for sure as if you are just wearing a wig incorrectly, as if it were a hat. Most wigs are not meant to be worn as hats, with your natual hair sticking out at the neckline, it will feel bad, and look bad. Take the 30 seconds to braid it, and invest the $3 for a wig cap at your wig store, the store you are buying it from should be able to advise you the absolute best

you don't HAVE to braid your hair, but it will look much more natural if you do. as others have suggests, braid your hair then put a wig cap over it, to help it look more like it's your real hair. be sure to talk to whoever is selling the wig to you, as well. they will have the best information to help you
