My hair is really dry?

I've dyed my hair red a few times and now my hair is really dry..especially on the ends. I know dying makes hair dryer..but is there a way to make it healthier. My hair grows like wild fire so it feels like every time I get it feeling better, it's time to dye it again. It's so frustrating!

My hair is really dry?

First of all...don't use hot oil treatments, any colorist will tell you that because the oil leeches some of the pigment out of your hair and your color will fade...and since red dye fades so quickly anyway (as you probably know) you don't want to do that. When I had really dry ends, the only thing that helped was trimming them off! I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear, but especially if your hair grows fast, it will make a big difference. A lot of companies make a deep conditioning cream...they're a lot thicker than regular conditioners. Pantene makes a good one, and Garnier Fructis makes a good one too. This probably sounds weird but try this: rinse your hair with pretty warm water, wring out (gently) as much of the water as you can, as quickly as you can to keep your hair warm. Apply the conditioner or conditioning mask liberally as quickly as you can, then wrap your hair up in saran wrap, and then wrap it all with a towel that was soaked in warm water (wring it out of course so it isn't dripping all over!). The warmth helps open up the cuticle of your hair so the conditioner absorbs more. You can leave it on however long, at least 3-5 minutes. You can do this at home, and a lot of salons offer a deep conditioning treatment that is similar to this if you want to do that every so often. I know this is super long but one more thing! Dove makes this AWESOME spray, it's called Sheer Moisture Leave-In Repleneshing Mist. I live and die by this stuff. You can spray it in your hair, wet or dry (I usually do it wet though), and you can spray as much as you want and it will NOT make your hair all greasy or limp or anything, it just adds moisture. It's amazing, I couldn't believe it...I actually tried spraying a crapload on my hair to see at what point it would make my hair greasy, and it never did. It is so cheap...please try it, even if (for some bizarre reason) you hate it, you are only out $5. Good luck with your hair battle! I am obsessed with having soft, shiny, healthy hair...I think it does so much for your appearance and self confidence...so I've experimented with a lot of different stuff :) Hope you find what works for you, and that this helped.

My hair is really dry?

cholesterol treatments, hot oil treatments and use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

My hair is really dry?

i saw someone say cholesterol treatment......no. Use products that are made for color treated hair, that's what they design them for. they design them for people like you. also if your going to blow dry and you thermal irons for your hair, spray a thermal protector. but at the same time try not to use a lot of thermal irons and blow drying. Deep conditioners every 4th week

My hair is really dry?

Asians use coconut or olive oil and leave it in for about an hour before washing off. Usually once a week.

Saw this on tv, get some non-dye henna powder in a bowl and activate it with a little hot water, stir and stand for 5 minutes, then add in yogurt and mix. Let it stand for 20 minutes to mature.

Use sweet almond oil (you can add 1-2 drops essential oil like lavender etc) to coat the hair especially the ends. Massage the henna conditioner into the scalp. Leave 20 minutes then rinse off. Good for healthy scalp and adds shine to hair.

My hair is really dry?

if ur hair is dry and damaged ask ur self these question and be fair in answering :

do i style my hair too much using heat and gel and other chemicals that damage my hair?

did i dyed my hair more than once this yr?

do i use hair straigthening or heat curling iron too much?

did i permed my hair alot this hair(more than once)

if ur answer is yes to twice or more of these question then u r the reason, and u do not care abt ur hair at all,and u should learn abt the basic hair care and routine to keep ur hair smooth, healthy.

2nd:u should make a choice:

if u want to keep damaging ur hair then try hasir extentions they r good for u,if u do not like them then try to use less damaging hair styling products, and have a haircut that do not require perming ur hair or damaging it,then u should have a hair treatment course(using natural product or using expensive products it is ur choice according to ur budget)

email me if u want me to recommand hair treatment for u(natural or expensive ones)
