Pls hair help!!?

i have loads of split ends. my hair lenght is almost 12 inches its curly and extremely dry... am taking care of my split ends now..also its extremely knotted.. i want to know if theres any shampoo and conditioners that will make my hair healthy again and untangle my hair... THANKS. =)

Pls hair help!!?

Get it trimmed and leave the conditioner in until the end of your shower. I use biolage shampoo and conditioners.

Pls hair help!!?

1 get the split ends cut

2 i think garnier fructis or however u spell it makes extra strenght shampoo %26amp; conditioners for dry %26amp; damaged hair like urs

Pls hair help!!?

herbal essense hello hydration moisturizes ur hair, pantene pro v creme and shampoo and conditioner with moisterizer hydrate good too, use purple suave for kids conditioner, i know its for kids but it smells good (grape) plus it rly rly untangles ur hair

Pls hair help!!?

Try Infusium 23 after you get out of the shower to detangle before you blow dry. Works wonders on tangles.

Pls hair help!!?

you can go to a hair store and get something called a just for me texturizer

Pls hair help!!?

def need to get the split ends trimmed up....also don't use any over the counter products they dont have the proper PH balances....you need a leave in condidtioner like Ojon or Biolage leave in conditioner to get a comb through it...try Fekkai's moisturing at Sephora of Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret something with Keratin Proteins, and switch your conditioner daily...one day use a protein conditioner and a deep moisturizing the other day.

Pls hair help!!?

please do not use store bought shampoo for your type of hair(ganier, herbal essance) those are garbage you should go to the nearest salon and ask for a recomendation i suggest redken smooth down and ask how much they charge for a deep conditioning treatment if you get one of those a month at least, that will help alot they will use the strongest conditioner possible on your hair then put you under heat which makes it penetrate more and ask if they have a take home deep treatment also then use it once a week apply it then leave it in 10 min or so then rinse your hair will improve also the regular trims help too

Pls hair help!!?

1) Get your hair trimmed to get rid of the split ends.

2) Do you use conditioner? It can totally help if your hair is dry and gets tangles. I reccomed Herbal Essences, Pantene, or Garnier Fructis.

Pls hair help!!?

A little hard to answer but from my own personal experience when I had split ends I cut them. I have long hair too but It's healthy to get rid of them if it's a big problem. As far as your dry and knotted hair I used to use Hot Oil Moisturizers. They put a lot of moisture back into your hair.

Pls hair help!!?

Hi!

It sounds like you need some intense hydration! Try Sunsilk hydra tlc, it mositurizes and gets your hair looking healthy again. It had a shampoo conditioner leave in creme and a conditoning mask. I worked great for me and it is under $5. I would also cut the ends of your hair and avoid unnecessary heat. curly hair tends to be dry so watch out!

hope I helped you! (~:

Pls hair help!!?

Dove has really good repairative shampoos/conditioners, you can get a free sample here:

http://www.doveloveyourhair.com/default....

I dont think they show this shampoo as a free sample, but this one works miraculously:

http://www.dove.us/your_hair/ac_therapy....

But, as always, cutting your hair is the best solution. If you want to grow it out, get it trimmed first, then experiment with other hair styles that you could use on your hair besides applying heat.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

I use condition and hair detanglers but no matter what my hair is always tangly. It is thin and baby fine hair but healthy. I take really good care of my hair but it is soo hard to brush sometimes especially right after I wash it. And when I brush out the tangles it breaks my hair off. Is there a special product someone recommends?

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

try a leave in conditioner. take out tangles with a wide tooth comb and not a brush.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

A super moisturizing conditioner and maybe a detangling spray.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

to better answer yr question visit%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

use a hair strenthener shampoo and conditioner, like garnier frutice. and use leave in conditioner before you brush. Make sure you work in the leave in stuff all the way from root to tip before brushing. It will help with the breakage.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

I like pantene spray on leave in conditioner.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

try using hair detanglers that is made specifically for "children" or "baby", you can get this pretty cheaply at any neigborhood store, such as walmart/target. i have extreemly long but super fine hair as well and this works very expecially after i spray it on after i shower.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

yo i have the same problem, plus highlighting, chlorine don't help. The little sample size conditioners that are in some hair coloring kits are the bomb, or try the matrix stuff in the orage bottle. Anything with a low pH, it seals the hair follicle(cuticle) and makes it lay down flatter. 3minute miracle is ok. Even suaves remake of matrix is pretty good.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

You should use a good quality Shampoo followed by a Conditioner, leave the conditioner on for a few minutes and run your fingers through your hair to spread it evenly, rinse off in warm water not hot, and comb, hey no tangles

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

Don't brush, That could easily make it worse.

I suggest, while you're in the shower, slather on some conditioner, and GENTLY work though it with a seemless, wide tooth comb.

Also, if you're shampooing the commercial way, with all your hair on the top of your hair, or if you rub your hair with the towel after you dry, you're just begging for tangles.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

When you wash your hair, wash only the roots and then let the suds run through the rest of your hair when you rinse it out. This is best for fine hair because it reduces tangles and dryness. Then, use a strengthening conditioner. I use Loreal Vive nutri force conditioner, and I absolutely love it. Comb through your hair in the shower while the conditioner is still in it and then wait before you rinse it out (a minute or two should do it). Be sure that anytime you comb your wet hair that you use a wide toothed plastic comb. Never use a brush on wet hair because that will cause it to break, and it won't get the tangles out. After you wash your hair, towel dry it and use a leave in treatment like Infusium 23. Comb through your hair starting with the tips. I hope that helps. But since you said that you already take good care of your hair, you may already do some of that. Also, regular trims help cut down on tangles. Good luck.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

OMG my hair seems to be exactly what you just described.

First of all with fine hair you will need to have the dead end trimmed often. This will somewhat reduce the tangles. Also try a hot oil treatment ONCE. I do this about 2 times a year. Get a weightless conditioner. Ivory and Sauve make great ones and they are inexpensive. Leave the conditioner in for about 3-5 mins then rinse out. After your shower or bath brush hair. ( combs seems to tangle hair alot more ) Get a brush that the teeth (?) are somewhat spaced out too. Dry immediantly. Do not let air dry (that's the worst)

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

Don't rinse the conditioner out of your hair in the shower. It won't look greasy. And it will make your hair heathier and shinny AND tangle free!

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

If you have baby fine hair you should try using kid approved products on your hair go easy on the shampoo and use a little more conditioner. Also you might try a volume and strength enhancing spray after you wash your hair put it on and it will help to improve your hair. They make a Jonson and Jonson shampoo and conditioner for grownups, they make a spray for volume and strength by VO5 that works pretty well, and they make many brands of kid detangling sprays

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

Start with a conditioner with cholestorol.Condition while your hair is dry and comb through it with a wide tooth comb in the direction that the water will hit your hair, i.e. if you wash your hair bending over comb it toward your face and if you wash laying back comb to the back. When you wash it run your fingers straight through from root to end or use your comb so you dont create tangles. When youre done DONT wrap your hair in the towel just put the towel around your shoulders and just pull the towel around it and blot dry it.Then apply a children's detangler (sometimes cheaper is better; Dollar General has a great one). Then you can apply a pomade which might help keep it straight. If that doesnt work hit me back. We'll get through this tangled situation.(smile)

PS If you get tangles comb gently from end to root.

No matter what I do my hair is always tangly! Especially right after I wash it...what should I use?

wash your hair like usual, condition with a moisturizing conditioner, leave a bit of it in. when you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair and spray no more tangles all over you hair. let it sit, and then with a wide tooth comb, section your hair, start at the bottom of your hair, and work up, this will help reduce the amount of breakage you have after showering.

I have the same problem after I get out of the shower. I do this and it helps.

How to keep my perm(chemically straight) hair healthy?

I'm african american and my hair is permed(chemically straighted) it has been for a while and I know if I don't take care of it will fall out and I love my hair now.I was wondering does any one have any tips on how I can my hair heathly and in great shop.thax in advance

How to keep my perm(chemically straight) hair healthy?

apply a leave in conditioner to your hair sometimes because it will strengthen it. also, pantene has a really nice lotion for hair that i use and it helps mine. i have a perm too and my hair is down my back. it's really good for your hair. look for it in a brown bottle.

How to keep my perm(chemically straight) hair healthy?

Panteen, or however the hell you spell it lol lazy day, is HORRIBLE for your hair if processed... yes even the so called "for women of color" version. I suggest Optimum brand products. I too have my hair relaxed (that is what we do to our hair, you perm it if you want it curly...) but my hair grade is so fine that i cannot leave it in for too long. My hair is wavy and curly but THICK, so i go from relaxed to straight depending on the season.

I recommend a GOOD beautician. Be VERY careful of who you allow to touch your hair... I'm so cautious... dont be afraid to tell them what you dont like, dont want and are concerned about. Afterall it is your hair and you will be the one looking a hot wreck if they mess it up.

So yeah stay away from that pantine*so and try Optimum. My sister does my hair and she uses something called Alter Ego to condition my hair and treat my scalp to prevent any problems that might arise from it being relaxed. Alter Ego is wonderfull!! I swear by it.

Working / Living in Iraq-- DRY HAIR HELP!!!?

Hi! I work / live in Iraq, and am over here for 4 months at a time, and it has absolutely RAVAGED my long brown hair!! I can literally SEE the split ends on every hair and it is driving me bananas. Anybody got any tips on how to mend / prevent split ends or keep hair from drying out? There's not much I can do-- the water quality over here sucks (but at least it's running, that's a plus), combined with the sand and sun, my hair is practically doomed. I use philosophy products (great conditioner!) and they seem to help.. but not solve! Any tips on how to keep my hair healthy in such an extreme environment? When I can't get to a professional but once every 4 months? Thank you in advance!

Working / Living in Iraq-- DRY HAIR HELP!!!?

ok well try a leave in conditioner. it really really helps dry hair. Aussie makes it really well. they have a good qualitly product. i love it. all you have to do it use a little bit of it and rub it into your hair. brush your hair and then your done. it helps to keep it moistuized and if you do it right and dont use to much it doesnt make it look greasy. it keeps your hair smooth and moisturized. plus it smells delicious.!!!

Working / Living in Iraq-- DRY HAIR HELP!!!?

Dry hair tends to be thin and rough so try washing less often .To prevent your hair from becoming dry and brittle, avoid using hot curling irons, bleaching and perming .Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

as in waist length or longer (not creepy hippie hair but healthy %26amp; shiny with luscious curls) ??

i asked a question on here before and most people (guys and girls) said they liked shoulder length / bra strap length hair the best. (on a girl)

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

well, sorry but it just looks nasty!

especially if your hair is black.

and you have it in a ponytail all the time. yucky! haha so chunti

if you scrunch it and get bangs, and make it look like the lead sing of the Pussycat Dolls, NOW that kind of long hair is grrreat!

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

I fv%26lt;kin' luv it!!!!!!!

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

There is nothing wrong with having really long hair. Just that at times people think its over exagerated to have hair that long. Their is nothing wrong but most men perfer girls with not that long hair because if you noticed if you see a girl with really really long hair just walking in a hallway she will grab alot of attention. And most men dont like that.

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

actually, guys really love girls with long hair. they actually loved to run thier fingers on their girls hair...

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

I ******* LOVE REALLY LONG HAIR!!!!!!

NO JOKE

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

Guys (and girls) LOVE girls with long/really long hair. Especially if it's healthy!

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

well i would love girls with long hair u can make many hairstyles with long hair its fun for a guy to run his fingers into a girls long hair

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

last time i checked they LOVED IT SON!

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

Right now Lesbian Lust is in.

So guys are looking for women with hair that formerly was assosiated with Lesbians,.. those men that lack indivuality.

Most people jump on bandwagon and are easily controled by entertainment. Also some questionable women have been popular the last few years with short hair.

Lesbian hair in the past decades have been little boy short to a length that can reach or cover your shoulder blades.

I think people are use to hair below the waist being on little girls and characters before they are ready to reveal their figure and start letting guys touch them. So it probably feels very childish to people at the moment,.. untouchable even.

This gives males an unconcious favor towards very short hair at the moment. Those with very short hair have been being shown as sluts and girls that give in easily in entertainment.

Don't worry too much about it,.. this is all Fad and Trend. Things will change some day.

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

It depends on the guys.

1) Some guys don't like girl-y girls. Some guys don't like girls who look like their mothers. Some guys like girls who *do* look like Mom. Hair length can factor into any of these.

2) Guys usually don't like girls to have hair that must to constantly fussed with or sheltered, unless they have some sort of hair fetish. Same thing goes for gals opinion of guys hair.

3) Ask youself whether your long hair is easy-care or an intimidating/aggresive statement of individuality. It can also be seen submissiveness. An odd recollection: imagine a "Goth" before they were called "Goth" ... long hair and black clothes and sensible shoes ... mistaken for Amish. Long hair can be "mis-read".

WHy don't guys like girls with long hair =( ?

I happen to like women with long hair. I always thought it was women who didn't like having their hair long.

How do I get my hair like beyonce?

In the song Irreplaceable I LOVE her hair but my hair is like 3 to 4 inches past my shoulder. I know you have to curl your hair like in this picture:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dougalug200...

but how should I take it down, should I curl it after I get a perm or relaxer. When I curl it after the perm or relaxer my hair gets frizzy andI have to grease it.What spray should I use ( that's healthy for my hair) and not have to grease it so my hair will be straight?

How do I get my hair like beyonce?

Her hair is pretty, but i hope u know it's weave (beyonce, i heard, has like two inches of hair)

Your hair needs to be longer too. "Her" hair is very long.

It looks like it was lightly curled to me. I would use magnetic rollers and rollerset my hair, then finger comb it down.

you should not be greasing your scalp. That will only clog your scalp pores. If you want straight hair, you will not have Beyonces hair. Do you mean that your hair flies up, but doesn't come down? that is probably because you put too many/much product on it.

How do I get my hair like beyonce?

Unless you have a personal hairstylist and a lot of weave, your hair is never gonna look like Beyonce's!

How do I get my hair like beyonce?

I HIGHLY reccomend (VO5 extreme style heat defeanse)

it

*gets rid of frizz

*flyaways

*leaves ur hair soft

*smooth

*shiny

* AND NOT GREASY!

I'm 19 and male, and want to grow my hair, but it is difficult to control... Help!?!?

I am a 19 year old male, and want to grow my hair similar to this... http://www.poster.net/kutcher-ashton/kut... But, my hair is difficult to control. When I wash it, it rains, or i sweat, it curls at the sides and at the back. It takes ages for me to straighten and style it. Is there anything I can do to make maintaining my hair easier, other than "wash it less..." Is there a particular shampoo/conditioner/hair treatment that really helps keep hair straight?? Supplements that keep hair straight/healthy? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated people! Thank you x

I'm 19 and male, and want to grow my hair, but it is difficult to control... Help!?!?

Aww curly hair, a curse or a blessing. And usually viewed a curse before a blessing...At least that was my experience. I have very curly hair with one daughter inheriting it and the other daughter only slightly..she says she's got POOF.

Anyway, to answer your question try using a FLAT IRON to straighten your hair. Spend the money (around $75-$100) for a GOOD one, as some will dry out and fry your hair. I will tell you the brand of my daughter's after they wake up.

I'm 19 and male, and want to grow my hair, but it is difficult to control... Help!?!?

there are chemical straighteners you can buy, they work, but as ur hair grows the new stuff wont be straight. You can find them at hair product stores. Stores that only carry hair products and nothing else.

Hair loss or baldness is caused mainly due to the lack of Vitamin B supplements. Vitamin B5 contains pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin that is vital for hair growth). B6 is equally important to the body, as it contains the nutrients of zinc, sulfur, magnesium and biotin.

An interesting fact about Vitamin B: Certain experiments were conducted with rats and they were fed with food that lacked magnesium supplements. It was found that they lost their hair in bunches and when they were provided with a low biotin diet they turned hairless. But to the surprise of all, their hair returned when they were fed with food rich in Vitamin B. Similar studies were conducted on men and it was found that Vitamin B enriches the quality of hair. The body also requires Vitamin A. Fatty acids such as primrose oil, flaxseed oil or salmon oil need to be consumed for enhancing hair growth.

Vitamin E is meant for stimulating the oxygen intake in the body and improves the blood circulation. If there is proper blood circulation, hair growth is enhanced. Vitamin C assists the normal functioning of capillaries that carries the blood to the scalp. Even zinc is an important supplement, which should be consumed as it assists hair growth.

Biotin is necessary for hair growth. There are many sources of biotin such as brewer's yeast, brown rice, bulgur, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. It is present in some shampoos, so you can use shampoos, which contain biotin. It is advised to consult a physician before taking any vitamins or medications for hair growth

1.Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles in the scalp.

2.Massage the scalp and hair with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for 闄?hour, then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week

3.Massage into the scalp and hair honey with egg yolk. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse.

4.Massage almond oil on scalp 2-3 times a day, daily. This will stop further hair loss.

5.Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow.

Take care.

I'm 19 and male, and want to grow my hair, but it is difficult to control... Help!?!?

hey i know exactly guys like u, they cant hold it in and they get a hair cut. honestly u have to be really patient and try ur hardest not to go to the barber

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

I have medium length hair, very thick and wavy. Not a pretty "supermodel wavy" but like, its all poofy, and gross looking. I straighten it all the time. I have bad split ends, and I am trying to grow my hair out, so I cant cut the slpit ends off or it will stay short. People tell me to stop straightening it, but I can't or else, I will look horrible. Its parted on the right and I have bangs a little past my eyes. I have an oval shaped face. I want a new hairstyle that would look good on me, but also be healthy to my hair. Help!

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

Okay chicky, if you have a salon or an Ulta in your area go in and head straight for Redken. They have a line in dark blue bottles for totally overhauled damaged hair, buy the shampoo, conditioner and if they sell the small packets of treatments buy a few of those too, they only run a buck or two. Also, you may want to buy some Anti-Frizz and/ or Soft treatments. This will help those ends and the over all condition of your hair.

Also get a good serum to use, Paul Mitchell, Redken, John Freida, Garnier, nowadays everyone makes a serum, put that on when your hair is damp and it will act as a shine AND a thermal protectant.

If you find yourself in an Ulta store, ask for the Chi products. Chi is a company that makes flat irons but they've now come out with great thermal protectants and repair treatments for dry damaged hair.

And for a style, if you cut in more layers and get some texture added you can get rid of a ton of that bad damaged hair without loseing any length.

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

I have the same EXACT hair and problem! I don't know what to do. but I use this stuff that makes it SUper Soft- Loreal Naturals heat protecting hair cream from Sally Beauty Supply. I don't think there is any cure for damaged hair. We just have to keep putting the creams on it i guess.

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

You should go to a stylist. An Aveda salon is a great place to go. I love Aveda products. They're organic. You probably need lots of moisture in your hair. You can try aveda.com and see if there is a salon near you. Hope your hair gets picture perfect! :] :] :] :] :]

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

you shave it off lol

jk thanks fer the 2 points

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

i have your same problem but i have combination hair like its oily at the roots and really frazzeled at the bottom and theres aussie shampoo for it and that helps frazzeled ends also i have this bedhead stuff called mega vitamen and its a deep conditioner and and you keep it on for about 20 minutes and then rinse it so i would say get heat protection spray and walk down the haircare aisle at walmart and youll see what im talking about good luck! and about the hairstyle i have bangs and i would NEVER get rid of them so dont worry about a cut if you like yours now

What should I do to my damaged hair?! =(?

u need a relaxer aka perm...they go 4 about 5-20$ a box...follow the directions on the box...the formulas break down the dead skin on ur scalp, get rid of split ends, and make ur hair look shiny and straight...

Guyz is my hair to long?

my hair is down to my waist

it is 30 inches long...

is that a turn off to guyz?

i still want to grow my hair to my tighs

although i am still going to grow it that length no matter what is said....

i just want to know your opinion

and yes my hair is healthy and very shiny so it looks nice....

Guyz is my hair to long?

no thats not a turn off at all, thats a turn on in my books as long as it is silky and shiny keep it. very long length hair looks the best on a girl out of all hairstyles but it has to be in good condition like yours. and it would look good if u grew it to ur knees, keep it

Guyz is my hair to long?

Different people like different things. My husband loved my hair long, but once it reached past halfway down my back, we were both over it. However, he didn't want me to get it cut short. I chopped it to about chin length and he LOVES it. Everyone likes something different, but what should matter most is what YOU like and what makes you look your best.

Guyz is my hair to long?

It's not a turn off if it's by the waist, but it is if it's by the thighs.

Guyz is my hair to long?

i'm not a guy but atleast after u grow it out to where u want it to be i think u should cut it to ur middle part of ur back or even a bit shorter. And donate it to locks of love for children u have no hair. :D

Guyz is my hair to long?

long hair is so beautiful. you should keep it long. i have long hair and everyone i know loves it. it just depends on the guy's taste. some guys like long hair and some guys like short hair. a majority likes long hair though.

Guyz is my hair to long?

Ok, well I'm a girl but I'll tell you that having your hair that long is unflattering appearance-wise...and that most hair doesn't grow that long, and that long hair gets VERY badly damaged on the ends, and is a huge pain to manage (I know that one from personal experience)...But I get the feeling that you have personal reasons for growing your hair, so I wish you good luck!

And as far as I know guys absolutely love love LOVE long hair, I don't know about thigh length hair but there was this woman on TV one time who had grown her hair longer than waist-length and she said that guys had told her they liked her hair more then her breasts. And I'm always hearing guys saying that they would be really sad if their girlfriend/wife cut their hair short, so...yeah I think guys just like hair lol ^^

Guyz is my hair to long?

i think that it sounds like the hair could be overpowering to your face and your body if its that long...it should at least have layers some shape texture definition

Guyz is my hair to long?

omg how pretty!! i would love hair like that! i dont think its a turn off.. just dont make your hair grow tooo long i think its fine like that... try out some layers.. it will look cute... and you can style it n everything!!=]

Guyz is my hair to long?

wtf we have something in common. JK it depends on the person, i personally would be turned off by that length of hair.

Whats a good way to rehydrate my hair and make it healthier and softer??

i starighten my hair pretty much every week day but not that much cus its already pretty straight and i use a ton of heat protection spray. On the weekends i dont straighten it at all usually so what kind of things could i do on the weekend like hair masks i could make (or buy) or whatever to make my healthier and so gthat it doesnt get dried out

Whats a good way to rehydrate my hair and make it healthier and softer??

I would go and get my ends trimmed regularly ...then I would do some at home deep conditioning. You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a good "deep" conditioner you can either get it in packs or a jar of it ...i would recommend getting a jar ..and its not really expensive and get a pack of processing caps. Then I would wash my hair then apply a generous amount of conditioner and then put on a processing cap then take a thin damp towel and microwave it for 35-45 seconds and wrap it around your hair. I would leave this on for an hour or longer if you want just remember to keep reheating the towel. Then when you are done rinse really well and at the end of the rinse turn the water to cold and rinse really quick in just cold water. I would do this two or three times a week if time will allow it . Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy and remember to get your hair trimmed and try and let your hair air dry whenever you can and your hair will start to get healthy again. And when your ready you can still use your flat iron and things just remember to do a deep conditioning at least once a week even once your hair gets healthy.....

Hope this was helpful ~~

Good Luck ~~

You can good a good deep conditioning treatment or jar at Sally's and it isn't expensive and make sure you ask the clerk there that it is a color safe product, i feel certain it will be but you never know. I try alot of the home remedies and most of them work.....just be careful if you try them because a few of them did lightened my color ... :(

Whats a good way to rehydrate my hair and make it healthier and softer??

I straighten my hair about 3-4 times a week and already have naturally dry hair. There are plenty of those "miracle conditioners" that claim to restore the moisture of hair that have really never worked for me. The best one Ive ever come across and use all the time is Aussie Deeeeep 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Treatment. You apply it after shampooing and leave it in for 3-5 minutes and you should feel a dramatic difference right after rinsing. I would definatley give it a try.

http://www.aussie.com/us/collections/moi...

You can pick it up at Target, Ulta, or most drugstores

Whats a good way to rehydrate my hair and make it healthier and softer??

i would go with the enjoy hair mask.

this stuff works wonders.

i use it on my clients.

they are always happy with how their hair feels after.

the way i would use it is wash your hair about twice to get rid of any buildup so the mask can actually go into the hair shaft.

then i would apply the mask starting at the ends of your hair.

and work your hair up.

then i would grab a wide tooth comb and comb your hair throughly making sure you get everything.

then i would put a shower cap on and hit it with the blow dryer for about 10 mins and then let it set in for 15 mins after.

your hair will feel amazing trust me.

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

Hi, my hair went thraouh hell and back 8 years ago. I dyed it all kinds of colors. For 2 years now I've been a brunette but I want to get my BLONDE BACK. You can say that my hair is healthy even though it's kind of thin (european hair). It's just a pain whe my blonde roots come in because I look like I'm going BALD =( What to do????

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

Leave it along and just let it grow out

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

LEAVE IT ALONE OR YOU MIGHT JUST GO BALD!!!!

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

You should go to a very good salon and they will strip the color from your hair. This is a difficult process and may take a few times to get it back to as light as you want. Bring a picture of the shade you hope to achieve and they should give you an idea of the likelyhood of getting there. Ask them what risks there are and if your hair is in good enough condition to do it.

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

honestly, if you really want it blonde and don't want to fry your hair.... which is VERY easy to do when lightening. I would suggest just going to a good stylist the first time, that way you can get the color you want safely. Then just go to a beauty supply store and do it yourself from then on.

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

all you can do to get dark hair out is bleach...

I'm naturally blonde but dye my hair dark brown how do I get It back to blonde?

I am a hairdresser and you need to go to a salon and let them strip out the color, do not attempt this yourself.

Let a beauty salon get your hair back color wise then condition it. They have the ways and means of recreating you..

There's lots of reasons your hair could be falling out. I've found some good websites for you to read and educate yourself. The more we know the better we feel. I would advise you to call and make an appointment with your PCP and that doctor can send you to a specialist if he can't treat you. I would never trust my hair falling out to strangers on a website! Hair is much too important!

My hair is randomly frizzy underneath?

OK so I take extreeeemely good care of my hair. I use leave-in conditioner every night (3 different kinds) and I do hot oil treatments, and keep it tirmmed nicely, shampoo and condition everyday. But while the rest of my hair is nice strong and healthy, underneath (the hair area that is closest to my neck area) is frizzy! When I put all my hair forward to one side that spot is frizzy and looks bad!!!

Why is it like this? How can I help it?

How do you dye naturally dark brown hair lighter using drug store dye.?

I've tried the drugstore brands that "lift" naturally dark hair. It dyed the roots the color I wanted, but not the rest. I have long, thick healthy hair. I am of White and Latin ethnicity. I do not want to spend 100's at a salon. PLease help!!!!

P.S. I'm trying to dye my hair to a honey brown color.

How do you dye naturally dark brown hair lighter using drug store dye.?

I use L'oreal coulour experte--it works really well. But you don't want to buy something that is sold to lighten your hair, you should just buy a dye.

http://www.couleurexperte.com/

And I'd guess you'd want 5.0 or 6.0 for the dye. Using the couleur experte guide.

How do you dye naturally dark brown hair lighter using drug store dye.?

You have to make sure you use one with peroxide in it, the wash out kind won't work. Make sure you really want to do it though because it is damaging and I find that more hair than usual falls out in the shower a week or so after dying it, so if your hair is already thin its not a good idea, but if its thick it won't make too much of a difference. I agree with the first poster, L'oreal is good.

What type of products would you suggest for african american hair?

So i have a relaxer and a had my hair dyed a very dark brown (not at the same time) and its really thick. Its pretty long too. I have noticed that its shedding alot more than it used to and im getting split ends easier than i used to. what type of things would you suggest to get my hair really healthy? this can include products, vitamins, overall diet, or just some really good words of advice.

What type of products would you suggest for african american hair?

Here, first I want to show you a link of my hair. It was past bra strap length, I cut it Jan 07, and it's already grown back to my bra strap. But I am very WARY of taking advice about hair when I can't see the hair of the person so:

http://fiu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=20...

Here you go, that's all mine.

Now:

You should roller set your hair every week. Roller setting your hair distributes low heat over a long time when underneath a dryer. I cannot stress the importance of roller setting to have and keep healthy hair.

Shampoo with a protein shampoo (I use Redken Extreme shampoo) because relaxing robs hair of protein.

Then deep condition (I order Mizani's Hydrafuse online bc they don't sell it to the public, just to the salons AND I mix it with KeraCare Humecto) for about 5-15 minutes UNDER THE DRYER. This is very important, the heat opens up your cuticles. Wash it out with cool water to close it. Relaxing dries out your hair.

Your hair needs a healthy balance of protein and moisture.

After that use a leave-in conditioner. I use KeraCare Leave-In, it is very concentrated so you don't have to use much and it is very, very good at protecting your hair against heat and other damaging factors including sun, wind, etc. I also use Nexxus' leave in conditioner called Luxxtress. It replenishes moisture AND has a bit of protein in it.

I used to use Design Essentials setting lotion, it is incredible for roller sets for me. So I have two leave in conditioners and a setting lotion in my freshly moisturized (deep conditioner, leave in conditioner) and strengthened (with the protein shampoo and part Luxxtress) hair. My hair is protected and happy.

I don't use setting or foaming lotions anymore though. I just use the two leave in conditioners and a serum.

You don't have to use only ONE brand's products. As you can see, I have mixed it up till I found the perfect matches for my hair.

When I take it out my curls are shiny and bouncy and full. I go to the salon bc I can't roller set my own hair but I can roller set other people's lol. You wouldn't believe the looks my hair gets. People always ask me if it's my own and I proudly say yes. After you take out your roller set, wrap your hair. Or you can get the roots blown out.

Wrap your hair at night with a silk scarf, it's so important to keeping your hair moisturized. Use a silk/satin pillowcase just in case your wrap falls out.

I know that money doesn't grow on trees but I promise if you invest your money on high-quality hair products, your hair will thank you.

You might also need a trim or cut because may have split ends. ONLY trim if you have split ends, other than that you have no reason to trim your hair every time you go get a relaxer or roller set your hair.

Also, you can start trying taking supplements. I used to use GNC's Ultranourishair, Biotin, and MSM. All these things are good for your hair. HOWEVER, if after 3 months you don't see improvement (and I mean look at your roots) then stop taking them. Some people don't metabolize synthetic vitamins as well as others, that's why you see some people swear by them and some don't. They help maximize your own hair growth POTENTIAL along with a good diet. They worked for me but I became too lazy.

I think this covers it all but you can always ask for more, I love to help people with relaxed hair! A lot of people hate on us and say we should go natural but there is such thing as healthy relaxed hair that you can grow long and thick as I have!

Any tips for straightening hair?

I have curly hair, so i'm always using a straightener, but i'm afraid i'm ruining my hair, and healthy ways?

Any tips for straightening hair?

Instrad of using a permant relaxer why not try one of the shampoos esp made to straighten hair! I tried them and they work well!

Any tips for straightening hair?

go to a doctor.

Any tips for straightening hair?

You shouldn't straighten your hair often. It damages it, causing it to have a lot of split ends and look like a dried out haystack. You should only straighten for special occasions and every once in awhile. If you insist on straightening hair, then use a moisturising shampoo to add more moisture to your hair (because obviously, straightening will dry it out) and apply a leave on conditioner to keep your hair moisturised before and after straightening.

Any tips for straightening hair?

If you mean "any healthy ways of straightening your hair" umm...nope! All of it causes damage one way or another. You need to go to a professional and they can guide you in how to take care of your hair and what products you need and when.

Any tips for straightening hair?

straightning your hair isnt always healthy, so go to a drug store and look at the shampoos and hair products that treat damaged hair. It makes your hair healthier than it was before you straighned your hair

Any tips for straightening hair?

Use a good iron so you wont have to straighten in every day. the CHI is the best, although it is expensive it works better than any other iron out there. Be sure to protect your hair from heat damage, use a thermal styling agent to help reduce heat damage. Deep condition your hair at least once a month. Try using Biosilk hair serum, it keeps the hair nice %26amp; smooth, so it will help you keep your look longer

Any tips for straightening hair?

I have curly hair as well and I straighten it everyday. What I do is I wash my hair everyother day. I shampoo it with a shampoo made to fix split ends. I lather my hair and concentrate on lathering the tips. Leave in (while you soap up-2 minutes or so) then rinse. Then I do the same thing with a conditioner, DO NOT apply conditioner directly to your scalp, it causes your hair to flatten (in a bad way), instead begin applying it on the tips or ends then the rest of your hair, again leave in for about 2 minutes or less even. After that towel dry your hair really really good until your hair is not dripping. Next, you brush it with a wide-toothed comb to avoid tangling/pulling. Once brushed- get a nickle-quarter size drop of BIOSILK SILK THERAPY SERUM and a quarter size drop of SORBIE SMOOTHE, mix them together in your palm and then apply starting at the ends and work your way to the rest of the hair. After you've applied this you can kill time by applying your makeup, brushing teeth, plucking eyebrows etc....or you can begin straightening your hair. Get a round brush and a blow dryer and just start blow drying your hair as you are straightening it with the brush. Once straight you can use the CHI FLAT IRON to seal the straightness of your hair. It will look amazing. I have curly hair that is down to my bra strap and after the shower it takes me from 15-30 minutes to do it.

P.S.

Make sure you see your stylist every 3 months to trim your hair!!

Good Luck

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Over time from straightening it all the time and relaxing it, my hairs become extremely dry and damaged..I have crazy split ends and want to grow it out..im going to cut some of the damage off is there anything i can do to grow my hair out healthy without cutting it all off?...Even my bangs are really bad...what can i do about this?...i cant cut my bangs off...

Really Damaged, dry hair?

You should start treating your hair before it grows out...i.e., before it leaves the folical. Introduce Omega 3 oils into your diet via fish oil or flax seed oil.

In the meantime, stop drying your hair or use a product on your hair that specifically addresses damage by blow drying. Most of these products help protect the hair from the heat damage.

Do hot oil treatments, too. The more conditioned your hair is, the better, but understand, there is nothing you can do to bring your hair back to it's natural luster because it's dead (like fingernails). you just have to keep the future hairs healthy by adding dietary nutrition to your hair care routine.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

I would suggest, straightening, blowdrying, etc. your hair as little as possible, and go to a convience store and pick up some a nice product that will solve your problems

Really Damaged, dry hair?

I think you should start using Nexxus line of products because they work great. It made my hair healthy, shinny, and damage free.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

when my hair was like dat i used white peoples shampoo and conditioner treseme is excellent but most of the time i used tea tree olive oil for my condition it strenthens your hair

Really Damaged, dry hair?

I had this problem a year ago i fried my hair, just let it heal like, Condition it alot stay away from straighteners for awhile dont put anything else in your hair like give it a trim to get the dead ends off

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Well - my hair was the exact same way - I tried to cover up my roots about 9 months ago with this blondish/redish hair dye - turned my hair ronald mcdonlad red!!! so I dyed it black in the same day - still drying it, straightening it... OMG. my hair was like straw! so bad - now I go get it done professionally and she always tells me to use avacado oil on my hair (you can find it at like a whole foods market) It has worked wonders - wear it as a hair mask for 10 minutes while in the shower - or even wear it overnight. It works wonders!! Good luck

Really Damaged, dry hair?

You can't really grow out split ends because they split even more if you let them grow out. Trust me I know I have hair to my waist and it's REALLY healthy. Hair tips: Don't dye or add chemicals [hair spary, gels etc.], don't shower in hot water, don't blow dry or do anything that has to do with heat unless on special occasions.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Lay off the heat and chemical treatments. Seriously. To grow it out healthy, you're going to have to get the split ends trimmed off- talk to a stylist. She'll be able to help you keep as much length as possible. To improve the condition, do some deep-conditioning treatments. There are a lot you can do with just things you've probably got around your kitchen now. This site has directions for several: http://greenliving.suite101.com/article.... And one of my favorites uses just your regular hair conditioner. Do this one on a day you'll be able to just hang around at home, though. Start by just washing your hair as your normally would, then coat it pretty heavily with your normal conditioner, but don't rinse it out. Pin or tie it all up (including your bangs- the conditioner is good for your hair, but it's not so good for the skin on your forehead), and just let it sit for a couple hours while you do whatever. Then hop back in the shower and wash it out. Good luck!

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Cut as much off as you can stand,as for the bangs, just trim them. Just keep getting trims every month until your hair starts shaping up. Try not to use heat on your hair and if you do use spray in heat protector. Try wearing your hair up some times, maybe even get a hair piece so that you can wear your hair up but not have to do anything with your real hair. The hair piece will make it look nice with little effort. The only way to get rid of damaged hair is to cut it off, don't let anyone tell you that it can be repaired because it can not be.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

This is going to sound gross, but try a mayo mask. Literally, just cover your hair in mayo, wrao some plastic wrap around it(to keep in the moisture) and then cover it with a towel. Let it set for about 15-20 minutes. Then go wash your hair.

I know it sounds crazy, but it really works. My hair was fried form all the coloring and blowdrying too. But then my mom told me to try this, and it really helped.

If you want to go buy something, try a hot oil treatment.

Just make sure your using the right shampoo and conditioner. Some may actually make things worse if they are too harse for your hair. Read the labels carefully.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

Buy a product called Cholesterol, it is a cream in a big jar,and isn't very expensive, you put it all over your hair, and wrap it in plastic wrap and let it set for a while, even an hour. Then wash it out and use a moisturizing conditioner every time you shampoo, letting it sit in your hair for at least 5 minutes to give it time to sink in. Also, for frizzy hair, buy John Frieda products, they can help repair your damaged hair and have a heavy duty conditioner, and several products just for frizzy damaged hair.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

ok, well first off- how often do u relax ur hair?? u should relax it only every 3-4 months and when u do- only the new growth should be touched up. to not do so causes extreme breakage and split ends- also, when u get a relaxer always cut ur ends.

as for the breakage- trimming ur hair every 6-8 weeks should do it...

use plenty of conditioners, moisturizers, and deep hot oil treatments to treat damaged hair...

try using an avocado that is extremely ripe and smoosh it all like mashed potato's and add a little of olive oil to it, then apply the mix to ur hair, once u've done that put a plastic cap on and sit under a dryer for about 20 to 25 minutes. then rinse the mix out and set ur hair in rollers. remember blowdrying and flat ironing ur hair will cause more breakage so limit the use of those instruments..

good luck.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

go to a salon and get a deep conditioner treatment to start with , the when your washing your hair and use conditioner leave a little in your hair. if you are going to blow dry or straighten use protection for your hair like Biolage soothing hair serum.

Really Damaged, dry hair?

When your doing chemical treatments to your hair, you got to be very careful.if you straighten your hair today ,again until six/seven months you shouldn't do any chemical treatment.the reason for this, after doing a chemical treatment, you hair is going to become very dry, during the first two, three weeks of treatment you can see your hair is falling too. but slowly ,slowly it will turn back to normal.after straightening, you have to take lot of care of your hair, you have to use a good conditioner every time you shampoo your hair.(USE SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER FOR DRY/DAMAGE HAIR)once a month do a deep conditioning treatment.once a week do a good oil massage.this is good for your scalp, hair roots too.BUT FIRST OF ALL TRIM YOUR HAIR.then do these treatments,I'm sure your hair will become back to normal.my advice to you first nourish your hair then start to grow.its no point of growing unhealthy hair.so do the treatments i told, then i will tell you how to grow hair.I'M AN ASIAN BEAUTICIAN %26amp; HAIRDRESSER.NOW I'M FURTHER STUDING IN UK.i'm sure i can help you.dont worry.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

I grew up very poor and we never has hot running water and it seemed my hair was healthy and less frizzy. Dont know if that has anything to do with it or not. Maybe its just that i am 40 now .

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

I would try warm water.....

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

I heard it is better to rinse your hair in cold water. That way all the residue left over will rinse out. Also, use water with force. Meaning run the water really fast, not slow.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Yes, cold water is healthier for your hair. [:

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Nope. Cold water causes the cuticle on the hair to close which causes less frizz.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

water temp doesn't make a big differ but blow drying your hair with cold is better on hair then a warm blow dry, it burns and drys out your hair.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Doing a final rinse with cold water should be enough to have the same effect...no need to freeze your head the whole time, lol. Cold water causes the hair's cuticles to close, making hair smoother.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Cold water is better for your hair, but it shouldn't make a huge difference.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Always wash hair with low temperature water as hot water dissolves the natural scalp oil. It is the scalp oil which provides protection and natural shine to the hair shaft.

This is according to the website listed below. Click and look at the article for some great tips!!

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

rinse with cold or BOTTLED WATER! to get super shiny hair!

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

good question...yes! because hair belongs to PLANT family... try yourself watering the flower with hot water... certainly it will get burn! like hair it will tangle and split ends and prune to breakage. But, not so much cold water... just tap water.. not the freezing one... the hair will get frizz if washed with cold water.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Probably better to wash in cold water, but you could get a headache from being hit by the chunks of ice.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

I always thought that only really applied when using eggs as shampoo to give hair body, as if hot water is used the eggs tend to scramble!!!

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Useually if the water is warm it does not matter. Shampoo opens the hair folicle to cleanse it, and conditioner closes the folicle to keep it from drying out. So the water temp should not really matter if you shampoo AND condition, conditioning is KEY for healthy hair.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

I've always been told to use cool water to rinse the hair something about the oil or hair follicle. I like yourself grew up using cool water, 4 people in the house in the 50's. my hair as I have aged gets oilier quicker now it seems

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

cold water makes your hair shiny

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

Well experts always say that you should use hot water when using Shampoo %26amp; then cold to rinse off the conditioner. The cold water flattens the cuticles %26amp; make the hair shiner %26amp; less frizzy. So yes you using cold water when you were little did make your hair less frizzy. But everyone's hair reacts differently to different temperatures, so use what閳ユ獨 best for you.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

It's better to wash your hair with cold water

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

warm water gets the dirt out, if you imagine washing up plates, you wash with warm water, because it cleans better. if you wash with cold water your likely to end up with greasy poorly washed hair.

Is it bettter to wash your hair in cold water rather than hot?

YES ! Hot water will not only dry it out, but, will destroy the cuticle. NEVER wash/rinse hair in hot water.

Since I will most likely get extensions taken out, what are cute short hair styles I can do?

Extensions are sewn in too tight and since I dont want to go bald, I'll probably end up getting them all taken out tomarrow.

Sucks, only had them for six days. Waste of money.

I have short above the shoulder hair naturally. BUT SUCK at styling my own short hair because it's already damaged/dry and I dont even know the proper way to fix that problem.

What can I do? When I try to use my flat iron on it, it doesn't straighten it the first time I go over and I dont want to keep going over and over the hair peices because I dont want to KILL my hair MORE.

Any advice on how to straighten hair as healthy as possible? Products? Flat Iron Brand?

And I'd scrunch the short hair up in little scrunchy curls but can NEVER seem to get the curls to stay. They weigh down. Advice on good products/methods with that?

PLEASE PEOPLE HELP. :( I'm saaaaad. Help me girls!

Since I will most likely get extensions taken out, what are cute short hair styles I can do?

My suggestion is to use CHI Silk Infusion.

Apply it before you use any heat product on your hair. It gives your hair shine and if using a straightner, it steams the prodcut rather than your hair.

As far as scrunching your hair, the Aussie line has a great "srpunch" line that you can use to scrunch your hair and keep it stayed scrunched.

Bedhead makes this new product, I can't remember the name of it, but it is supposed to work like hairspray, only you use a little bit of it, and it goes a long way, plus it's stronger than hairspray and it can leave your teasing in longer as opposed to using hairspray!

hope this helped! good luck! and be kind to your hair!!

Curly hair tips??

Ok i have golden brownish/blondeish hair, it is also thick and curly medium length, how do you get it to be shiny and some soft curls, and frizz free? i have tried a lot of frizz free shampoo but it doesn't get it shiny and it feels dull to me. Help me and share some hair tips you do to help your curly hair be healthy and shiny with no frizz.

Curly hair tips??

Big Silky Sexy Hair products are the best for any type of hair but most of all for curly. You will also need to use a leavein conditioner or a shine serum and a curl enhancer, my fave is Noodle Head at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Curly hair tips??

I asked the same question on Yahoo answers..check out the answers people gave me..theyre really helpful!

Curly hair tips??

you should try starightening it...it should work for you really well

Curly hair tips??

I have naturally straight hair, so its really hard to curl my hair..and even if it does curl..to KEEP it curled. I bought the Chi ceramic hair iron 3/4 inches..and it just looks so beautiful the curls look so shiny. Before that i was trying a metal one that costs like 10 dollars...it was a burning disaster. Invest money on a good iron. You coudl actually smell my hair burning it see it on the metal. So anyways...if you cant buy the Chi which is like $90 you can buy these pink spongey rollers..section your hair into one inch sections and put a little water and gel and twist the strand of one inch...and start rolling it up from the bottom up. This works so well..although it is time consuming. when you are done your scalp should be full of rollers. If you stop half way..it will be unnatractive roll all the way up to your scalp. Dont forget to twist the hair before that though..the twist is what gives it spiral.

About the frizz...John Freida products!!! all the way from his shampoos...to Serums...use them

Curly hair tips??

Frizz-free shampoos have never done anything for my hair, personally. I used to use a lot of mousse...if you don't put so much, it'll just be frizzy and poofy, you know? I have the exact same problem. Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt. Get it. Use it. love it. I promise. It is not quite as thick as a gel, and it will not leave flakes in your hair like mousse will if you use too much (been there, done that). Right after you get out of the shower (your hair needs to still be a little drippy for the best results), towel-dry but not excessively. Depending on the length of your hair, use a little more than a quarter-size liquidy blob of this stuff. Turn your head upside-down, spread the liquid on both of your palms evenly, and run your hands and fingers through your hair (kind of combing it as you go--the choice is yours whether to comb or not, but NEVER brush curly hair). Once the liquid is spread pretty evenly throughout your hair, flip back right-side up and tilt your head to both sides, scrunching each time. After that, put some kind of curl spray on it to hold its place (I personally use L'oreal Pumping Curls spray). Sit down somewhere that your head can be straight up (make sure the curls are where you want them to fall) and let your hair dry naturally (unless your hair is not too thick and you don't have a poof problem, in which case blow-drying is ok, but don't turn upside-down to blow-dry). When your hair is completely dry (or almost completely), it will be pretty crunchy. Now all you need to do is tilt your head to either side again (and, if necessary, upside-down once more) and scrunch a few more times. The crunchy-ness will go away, leaving your curls in place but not hard.

Make sure you do not keep scrunching too often during the day (a few times is normal), or your curls will just become frizzy.

Also, Super Sculpt is actually recharged if it gets wet--so if it rains, no worries! Your curls may even look better than the first time! Paul Mitchell's a genius, I sware!

Other products I have found in that vast market (which is full of mostly crap) that actually have worked for my hair:

*John Frieda-nothing in his line works for my curls except the "Down Play" volume reducer liquid

*Biolage Curl Defining Creme (by Matrix)--best to use when your hair is almost dry

Good luck, as I know it's hard for us curly girls!

Curly hair tips??

What curly-haired person doesn't have this question?!

I solved the problem in California, but just moved to NY ... where the humidity is so bad that it seems to defeat almost all hair products.

Here's what I do.

1) Regular shampoo. I've never found a frizz-free shampoo that works.

2) Towel dry hair, getting all moisture out, IMMEDIATELY after getting out of the shower.

3) Leave-in conditioner IMMEDIATELY after toweling. I like the Paul Mitchell leave-in. I put a quarter-sized amount in my palm and then make sure to run it through all of my hair. I use my fingers rather than a comb. The comb straightens and stretches the hair, causing frizz. With fingers, you can separate the hair a little. Shake the hair while you run your fingers through. That puts some of the natural curl in.

3) Texture Line Control Gel IMMEDIATELY after the leave-in. Frizz starts the instant the hair starts drying. That's why the product needs to get in there so quickly!!

4) Dump my head over and scrunch with my fingers, making sure that the product is getting full coverage.

5) Air dry!! If you don't have time to wait for the air dry (yes, it can be hours) ... then use a professional quality hair dryer with diffuser, on medium or low heat. Low is best to set the style.

If you do any of the above in a place with any humidity, it probably won't work! You need to be in a humidity-free zone, temperature controlled -- and your hair needs to be COMPLETELY dry before going out.

And after all that's done ... If you're anything like me ... If it's a hot summer day ... 90% of the time, you'll STILL end up looking like Diana Ross. But 10% of the time, you'll have really great hair days. And if there's low humidity, it works every time.

It's taken me years and too many products to count to work this approach out.

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

I have had my hair blonde for about a year now, and it's "girls next door" blonde.

My hair looks healthy, and is past my shoulders, and I am an attractive girl.

looking for opinions...the bleache blonde look...good? or bad?

I am wondering if I should start to think about changing it...

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

its nice if its natural. but bottle blondes are gross.

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

OMG so totally hot

PARRRRIS

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

I THINK IF YOU CAN KEEP IT LOOKING AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE ROOTS BEING A DARKER COLOR IT IS MOST DEFINITELY VERY HOT. IT WOULD RATE A 10 IN MY BOOK. DON'T CHANGE A THING...

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

Before it was when your hair color choices were blonde, red, brunette, and black, but now each basic hair color comes in a full array of choices so you can do a strand test for yourself and decide what suits you best . More information at http://moreaboutcolor.blogspot.com/

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

Depends on your age and if you can pull it off. I mean the attitude not just how you look.

I'm guessing you mean white bleached blonde, like Gwen Stefani.

If you think you can, go for it! It looks kinda rock chick.

If not, why not try a lighter natural version of blonde.

Its just hair you can always get it changed back if you don't like it. And its good your hairs healthy cos its going to need a lot of TLC after!

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

trashy if its dyed bleach blonde. but nice if its your natural color.

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

depends on your skin color. If its dyed and you see the real color it looks trashy. (know someone that did it and HE looks terrible)

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

Well dyed blonde hair looks nice, if it looks natural.

If it looks 'fake blonde' or 'platium blonde' then it is just trashy.

Bleache Blonde Hair...Hott? or Trashy?

In my opinion I really like blonde hair. I would say keep it the way it is. It looks nice. However I have noticed out here in Hollywood that a lot of my blonde friends are dying their hair a light brown color. That seems to be the trend right now. It's all up to you. But personally I like the girls next store blonde look.

I have straight hair when i was young but my hair turns wavy when i'm a teen.?

I have straight hair when i was in Primary school .My hair started to turn wavy when i entered Secondary school. How do i make it naturally straight and make it as healthy as before ? I have wavy and freezy hair currently . And my hair falls badly too . Using Pregaine shampoo at the moment . What should i do to get a healthy and straight hair as before ?

I have straight hair when i was young but my hair turns wavy when i'm a teen.?

If your hair is wavy and you want it straight you have to flat iron it! That's just the way it is. It's very time consuming and it is damaging to your hair over time. My suggestion would be to love your wave. Get yourself a good mousse. Apply a generous amount of mousse to wet hair and let it air dry. If you don't like to crunchy feeling of mousse try any Frizz-Ease products. Tresemme has some really great products and they are inexpensive. Don't be afraid of your curls. The same thing happened to me. Now I love my hair, I have GREAT wavy hair. I get more compliments on my hair now than I ever did when it was straight. In fact, I got voted "Best Hair" when I was in High School.

I have straight hair when i was young but my hair turns wavy when i'm a teen.?

You can only blame the genes!!!

How often can I use a color gloss on my hair such as John Freida or the sunsilk brand?

The reason I am asking is it does a nice job of blending away some of the white hairs around the hairline that are increasing with age...however on the Oprah show a stylist said you can only use it once a month...but these products I believe wash out in less than one week. So anyone out there whom has used them or stylists...let me know what you think...I am really trying to grow out my hair and keep it healthy so I am not processing my hair (dyes, chemicals and perms). Thanks in advance!

How often can I use a color gloss on my hair such as John Freida or the sunsilk brand?

most of ur over counter hair dyes r safe. u should Wait at least 2 months before using another product.

Can anyone grow out their hair?

Can any man grow out his hair because my hair is a little wavy and rough hair. I try all types of conditioners and shampoos. Ate right, slept, and kept myself healthy. but my hair came out the same. so can i still grow out my hair long.

Can anyone grow out their hair?

Maybe you should consider having your hair straightened professionally. It would compromise the quality of your hair to a point but if that's what works then by all means do it!

Can anyone grow out their hair?

i really dont no it takes time to grow out ur hair

so in the mean time ask a stylist for some addvice or strait it by them

good luck

remember be patient i mean its not like ur hair is gunna stop growing

Can anyone grow out their hair?

Anyone can let the hair grow longer, but the actual length it will reach depends on many factors. It sounds like you are taking good care of your health, but your genetics will also play a major role in how long and how quickly your hair grows.

You cannot change the actual texture of your hair (how thick the strands are) and you'd need to use harsh chemicals to straighten it. Growing it out should add more weight, making it less wavy.

One great supplement you can take for the health of your hair and nails is Salmon Oil, full of those Omega 3 Fatty Acids everyone is talking about. Evening Primrose is also good. I take both regularly.

Good luck with your hair! And remember, if you don't like it long, you can always cut it and try something else!

How to grow out relaxed hair to natural?

okay i am a sophmore in highschool and want to transition my hair. I havent had a relaxer in 2 months and have about 1'-1.5'' inch. of new growth. I want to do the trim as it grow regime.I wash hair once a week and deep condition with smooth shine silk therapy(60 sec. critical repair), then blowdry, straighten, and wrap, and also use isoplus oil sheen and a lil bit of indiam hemp grease for extra shine. My hair is healthy and drink water only a daily basis. Just give me good advice and what products should i use on natural hair like shampoo, etc. I trim ends every 3-5 weeks. How long will the whole process take i expect at least a year!! The relaxers i did use contains no lye and i also wonder what hair texture may look like cause even with a relaxer i was still able to wear hair wavy/curly with mousse. How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

i cut my hair to short and i need to grow it really fast i also dyed my hair alot of time but not in the last 6 or 7 months and thats why i had to cut it because it was all dead now my hair looks healthy but to short

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

You can do several things to help hair growth. The best is to take some vitamin E or increase vitamin E in your diet. Also scalp massage, getting regular trims, and some people swear by using horse shampoo and conditioner (gives you silky and shiney hair).

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

take prenatal vitamins. i have heard they give you a lot of nail and hair growth. good luck!

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

Take special vitamins, eat cabbage and other fruit, take really good care of your hair( like, use conditions and balsams and some other things like this). After washing your hair, massage them.I hope it'll be work.I checked this out.So, anyway, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

take vitamins, eat right, and pray ur hair will grow faster,,no not really,,just eat right, take vitamins, and only use the shampoos and conditioners ,right for ur hair.

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

just wait for it to grow out %26amp; get it trimmed regularly.

Don't use a lot of cheap hair products on it %26amp; don't get it colored anymore.

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

calm down. just relax and let it grow out. my hair was cut short but i started growing it out in october and it's now long enough to twist up or for me to wear a ponytail. buy some cute pins and clips, headbands etc to change your look up a bit so you wont be tempted to cut it. i feel your frustration but be patient and remember, dont cut it! if you want to cut it, think about it for a few weeks and tell yourself if you still want to cut it you will otherwise keep growing it long. one week versus cutting it on a whim and getting pissed after you do cut it. good luck to both of us growing our hair out!

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

It might sound strange but horse shampoo. It is good for replenishing hair and helping it grow.

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

try a pack of amla, reetha and shikakai powder.(use it weekly, for two hours and then wash it with water.)

a mixture of almond, castor and coconut oil.

hope it will help u

good luck

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

Brush it 100 times at night and braid it every night!

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

Take a lot of vitamins and pray to God!!! Dont be too stressed out by thinking about your hair. Wait it out. you'll see. Anyway, goodluck!!!

How can you make your hair grow longer and faster without killing your hair ?

Hair grows at half an inch per month. Barring any diseases that is just the way it is. If you want healthy hair, avoid bleach altogether. If you MUST bleach, use a low volume cream bleach, and professional color, not supermarket brands.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

I heard is not healthy wash my hair more than 2 times a week, but I have to wash it every 2 days because it bacame oily on the root. But is dry on the end of my hair. I'm using salerm shampoo and conditioner now. I would like to know what to do. I have highlighters.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

Hi there, Seventeen magazine will even tell you to wash your hair only a couple times a week because if you wash your hair everyday, it strips your hair of natural oils and leaves it dry and it's more prone to damage when your hair is dry so don't listen to these little teeny boppers telling you "Ewww, it's so gross! Like wash it everyday, OMG!" lol You are fine by washing your hair every 2 days but I have some tips:

Wash JUST the roots, don't apply shampoo directly to the ends. The reason is because your ends are more prone to breakage then the roots, and they get dried out real easily. Just apply it to the roots, lather it up and massage your scalp and when your finished, let the water run the suds all the way through your hair by tilting your hair back. This way, the suds will wash off any excess dirt that could of been on your ends. Then apply conditioner to your ENDS only. On the days you don't shampoo, wet your hair and condition it, but avoid the roots. Reason being, since your hair is so oily, conditioner applied to your roots will just make it even more greasy and will weigh your hair down.

Good luck, follow these tips and you will be fine. :)

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

No problem :) Most of them came straight from Seventeen, I was reading it the other night while taking a bath. Report It

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

sorry but your gonna have to wash your hair everyday and put more conditioner on the end of your hair and more shampoo on the roots. and dont get the conditioner near your scalp it will clog pores and create oil

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

baby powder is the cheapest, oldest, and most effective way to keep your hair from being too oily.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

Umh, if i were you,

id wash my hair everydaay.

thats quite disgusting.

Use a 2 - in 1 Shampoo..

And Apply a leave in conditioner on the ends of your

hair. :)

hope this helps xxxx

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

You should be washing your hair every other day at least. Use conditioner on your ends instead of on your scalp.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

You have to get your hair used to not being washed more than twice a week. Just stick it out 3 days at a time, after a week or two your hair should stop producing so much oil so quickly and you should be able to wash it less.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

It is a myth that you can't wash your hair more than twice a week. As long as you are using a good quality moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, then you can wash your hair daily.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

I've only heard not to wash it everyday, so go ahead and wash it as much as needed

use a good leave in conditioner, or try some for dry hair

also remember to get the ends trimmed for split ends

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

IMHO - eeeuuuuwwwww, gross on only washing twice a week. Can we say dandruff and grease.

Wash every other day if you don't want to wash every day. You could also try Alberto V05 hot oil treatment on your hair.

If your hair is dry then perhaps you need a shampoo for dry hair. Your highlights may have damaged your hair causing it to be dry.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

to freshen your hair, get some dry shampoo in a spray, it's like shampoo in a can. It revitalises greasy, dull, lifeless hair between washes. Instantly leaving your hair feeling clean, full of body, and smelling beautiful. (try batiste)

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

it's okay to wash your hair even everyday if yours is oily. i wash mine everyday (I'm in tropical country anyway, it's gross if i don't wash it everyday) but since you said your hair end is dry, why don't you trim it (and try new hairstyle, maybe?) highlighters damage your hair. then go visit a local salon and ask for hair-spa treatment! it revitalizes your dry hair. using special shampoo for colored hair also helps.

a little word from me: actually i don't like spend my money in salon, so if i were you, i would avoid highlighters next time (though it looks good) and treated it naturally

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

That's a myth. I have a very similar problem to you... but my hair isn't yet long enough to be all tied back at once (It's layered).

I say use a shampoo and conditioner formulated for greasy hair (Ideally, a leave-in conditioner you spray on the ends). Jojoba oil is supposed to 'trick' your hair into producing less oil, so try using some on your scalp after washing it.

I wash mine every day.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

It would be best to wash your hair everyday, especially if your hair gets oily easily. But is for some reason you can't wash your hair everyday, here are some tips for you.

1. Pony tail. It is a dirty hair's best friend. And braids, the ones close to the scalp (or even french braids). Hair braids better when hair is not freshly washed.

2. Comb small amounts of baby powder through your hair and put even more on the roots. Baby powder helps to absorb the oil, and you hair will smell like a baby!

3. Switch your part.

4. When you do wash your hair, concentrate on your roots. Really work that shampoo in there. But when you do conditioner, only concentrate on the ends. This will prevent you roots from becoming oily too quickly and it will fix that dry ends problem.

5. If all else fails, wear a hat.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

get a really good shampoo like aussi or bd head but really depending on how old you are you should wash your hair everyday

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

Don't worry its not gross to only wash your hair every few days. If you find that your roots are getting to greasy baby powder works or try a dry shampoo just on your roots, I know Ojion makes one and it probably runs about $20 or so. It comes in a hair spray bottle.

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

ewww. you really need to have better hygiene and what do highlighters have to do with your hair?

What I can do to avoid wash my hair every two days?

you need to not wash your hair so often then it gets used to it even if u hav it up in A ponytail 4 a couple of days
