Really Damaged, dry hair?

Over time from straightening it all the time and relaxing it, my hairs become extremely dry and damaged..I have crazy split ends and want to grow it out..im going to cut some of the damage off is there anything i can do to grow my hair out healthy without cutting it all off?...Even my bangs are really bad...what can i do about this?...i cant cut my bangs off...

You should start treating your hair before it grows out...i.e., before it leaves the folical. Introduce Omega 3 oils into your diet via fish oil or flax seed oil.

In the meantime, stop drying your hair or use a product on your hair that specifically addresses damage by blow drying. Most of these products help protect the hair from the heat damage.

Do hot oil treatments, too. The more conditioned your hair is, the better, but understand, there is nothing you can do to bring your hair back to it's natural luster because it's dead (like fingernails). you just have to keep the future hairs healthy by adding dietary nutrition to your hair care routine.

I would suggest, straightening, blowdrying, etc. your hair as little as possible, and go to a convience store and pick up some a nice product that will solve your problems

I think you should start using Nexxus line of products because they work great. It made my hair healthy, shinny, and damage free.

Well - my hair was the exact same way - I tried to cover up my roots about 9 months ago with this blondish/redish hair dye - turned my hair ronald mcdonlad red!!! so I dyed it black in the same day - still drying it, straightening it... OMG. my hair was like straw! so bad - now I go get it done professionally and she always tells me to use avacado oil on my hair (you can find it at like a whole foods market) It has worked wonders - wear it as a hair mask for 10 minutes while in the shower - or even wear it overnight. It works wonders!! Good luck

You can't really grow out split ends because they split even more if you let them grow out. Trust me I know I have hair to my waist and it's REALLY healthy. Hair tips: Don't dye or add chemicals [hair spary, gels etc.], don't shower in hot water, don't blow dry or do anything that has to do with heat unless on special occasions.

Lay off the heat and chemical treatments. Seriously. To grow it out healthy, you're going to have to get the split ends trimmed off- talk to a stylist. She'll be able to help you keep as much length as possible. To improve the condition, do some deep-conditioning treatments. There are a lot you can do with just things you've probably got around your kitchen now. This site has directions for several: http://greenliving.suite101.com/article.... And one of my favorites uses just your regular hair conditioner. Do this one on a day you'll be able to just hang around at home, though. Start by just washing your hair as your normally would, then coat it pretty heavily with your normal conditioner, but don't rinse it out. Pin or tie it all up (including your bangs- the conditioner is good for your hair, but it's not so good for the skin on your forehead), and just let it sit for a couple hours while you do whatever. Then hop back in the shower and wash it out. Good luck!

Cut as much off as you can stand,as for the bangs, just trim them. Just keep getting trims every month until your hair starts shaping up. Try not to use heat on your hair and if you do use spray in heat protector. Try wearing your hair up some times, maybe even get a hair piece so that you can wear your hair up but not have to do anything with your real hair. The hair piece will make it look nice with little effort. The only way to get rid of damaged hair is to cut it off, don't let anyone tell you that it can be repaired because it can not be.

This is going to sound gross, but try a mayo mask. Literally, just cover your hair in mayo, wrao some plastic wrap around it(to keep in the moisture) and then cover it with a towel. Let it set for about 15-20 minutes. Then go wash your hair.

I know it sounds crazy, but it really works. My hair was fried form all the coloring and blowdrying too. But then my mom told me to try this, and it really helped.

If you want to go buy something, try a hot oil treatment.

Just make sure your using the right shampoo and conditioner. Some may actually make things worse if they are too harse for your hair. Read the labels carefully.

Buy a product called Cholesterol, it is a cream in a big jar,and isn't very expensive, you put it all over your hair, and wrap it in plastic wrap and let it set for a while, even an hour. Then wash it out and use a moisturizing conditioner every time you shampoo, letting it sit in your hair for at least 5 minutes to give it time to sink in. Also, for frizzy hair, buy John Frieda products, they can help repair your damaged hair and have a heavy duty conditioner, and several products just for frizzy damaged hair.

ok, well first off- how often do u relax ur hair?? u should relax it only every 3-4 months and when u do- only the new growth should be touched up. to not do so causes extreme breakage and split ends- also, when u get a relaxer always cut ur ends.

as for the breakage- trimming ur hair every 6-8 weeks should do it...

use plenty of conditioners, moisturizers, and deep hot oil treatments to treat damaged hair...

try using an avocado that is extremely ripe and smoosh it all like mashed potato's and add a little of olive oil to it, then apply the mix to ur hair, once u've done that put a plastic cap on and sit under a dryer for about 20 to 25 minutes. then rinse the mix out and set ur hair in rollers. remember blowdrying and flat ironing ur hair will cause more breakage so limit the use of those instruments..

good luck.

go to a salon and get a deep conditioner treatment to start with , the when your washing your hair and use conditioner leave a little in your hair. if you are going to blow dry or straighten use protection for your hair like Biolage soothing hair serum.

When your doing chemical treatments to your hair, you got to be very careful.if you straighten your hair today ,again until six/seven months you shouldn't do any chemical treatment.the reason for this, after doing a chemical treatment, you hair is going to become very dry, during the first two, three weeks of treatment you can see your hair is falling too. but slowly ,slowly it will turn back to normal.after straightening, you have to take lot of care of your hair, you have to use a good conditioner every time you shampoo your hair.(USE SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER FOR DRY/DAMAGE HAIR)once a month do a deep conditioning treatment.once a week do a good oil massage.this is good for your scalp, hair roots too.BUT FIRST OF ALL TRIM YOUR HAIR.then do these treatments,I'm sure your hair will become back to normal.my advice to you first nourish your hair then start to grow.its no point of growing unhealthy hair.so do the treatments i told, then i will tell you how to grow hair.I'M AN ASIAN BEAUTICIAN %26amp; HAIRDRESSER.NOW I'M FURTHER STUDING IN UK.i'm sure i can help you.dont worry.
