Hair too afro-like... Help?

Hey everybody! Gosh I havent been on Yahoo! Answers in like a year! Well anyways I have a little question here... My hair, is curly, cute huh? But, it's sort of dry sometimes, and, it doesnt grow down/long. It grows out, like an afro! Is there any way I can get it to start growing down? Like, not being puffy? Or a special shampoo or something? Because it's very annoying and i'd really like to have long, thick, healthy, curly hair!

part a line and comb it down after you take a shower, my bros hair is like that too.

Hair too afro-like... Help?

1. Take a look at naturallycurly.com for tons of ideas for curly hair!

2. Ouidad makes a great hair gel called Climate Control (www.ouidad.com) that smoothes the hair cuticle, defines your curls, and prevents poof. (www.ouidad.com)

3. Sunsilk makes some good anit-poof and anti-frizz lotions and conditioners that moisturize. (http://www.gethairapy.com/products/)

4. You can also try shampooing less and conditioning more. Shamposs roughens curly hair and leads to frizz. This is sometimes called a "no-poo" method where you use conditioner to wash and soften your hair.

5. Hair gel made with glycerin or aloe vera is helpful too. The gel holds the hair while the glycerin or aloe vera keeps the moisture.

Good luck!
